I don't know what I did, but now I can't play .swf files on my computer.

I've downloaded Flash Player 9, and I can still play files on the internet, but I can't play the files on the desktop. Does anyone know of a program that allows you to play flash games and videos on the computer?

NOTE: I use a Mac.

Have you tried opening them in your browser? That's what I used to have to do, then I got separate Flash Player, with a tracking bar.

What do you mean by "separate"?

And yes, flashes work fine on my browsers.

Try this - right click on the SWF file, select Open With. Pick IE or FireFox or whatever, and ... that should work.

Open Safari or Firefox or Opera or whatever. Delete what is in the address bar. Drag the icon for the flash file into the address bar. Click the go button.
