Ok, so we've had the best MMORPG you played thread, so now it's time for you to tell us what you think was the worse that you've played.

For me it would have to be the following:

Runescape:God, where do I start with Runescape? I mean beside the fact that you have to Grindfor everything, I mean even getting simple stuff like food is a grind. There was also the immature community that couldn't be any older than 10. Do not play this game unless you really just have a weird desire to do repetitive actions all day long for very little outcome.

Vendetta Online: This was a Sci-Fi space game that I tried, and really, it really isn't an MMORPG, it's more of a MMOFPS, because all it really is is a bunch of players flying around in space ships shooting at each other with laser, (pew pew). Of course it doesn't help that the pirates of the game gank on newbies every chance they get, and you have to buy back your ship, so one can easily get frustrated with this game. The Developers are still working on it so it's not being massively advertised yet (don't know when it will be) but beside the ganking, I think they're off to a great start. They really should introduce shields into the game though, to give newbies a fighting chance to escape.

RuneScape. It's slow, has horrible graphics, and yeah, it's very repitive with an immature community.

Earth and Beyond.

Never before had I quit a game in it's Beta. It was that bad, absolutely unplayable a month before release. Given how quickly it died I'm guessing it never got better.

You younger gamers and your "graphics". When will ya learn that graphics are only a small part to a good game. You have re-playability, storyline, side quests, controls and so on. Thats why I still play old snes games, cuz even though the graphics "suck" they are still fun games. Also, whats wrong with a little repetition. Hard work! Hard work! Hard Work! You guys expect to get to the final stages in like 2 days. It takes time and repetition to get ya prepared. I do agree with the immatureness of RS tho, which is why when I play, i turn off public chat, unless I am selling something.

Maplestory: two dimensional vertical MMO with no real point or sense to it at all. Grind for 75 levels? No thank you.

Runescape was pretty bad. I found that if MMORPGS aren't fun within the first half hour then they aren't worth playing.

So yeah, Runescape was probably the worst with EVE in second. And Star Wars Galaxy wasn't good either.

Errr... there is no storyline to RS... and there are no "final stages", unless you count level 99 as a final stage. It's repetitive, boring, slow, and the other players tend to be idiots.

Also... if you have a female character, random people start askign you out. :headbang:

I do agree, graphics doesn't always make the game, when I play a game, I like to have a good community (read as mature) a good storyline, quest/mission system that isn't repetitive. I don't have a problem with leveling taking awhile, in fact I like it that way, but it shouldn't be a grind fest either, you get bored doing the same thing over and over. Also you forgot content, an MMORPG has to have more than just quest/missions, it also got to have a good crafting system, have some fun stuff on the side like houses/boats etc, and getting around shouldn't be too easy, but I don't want to walk everywhere too.

I don't really like MMORPGs in general. They're fun at first, and kind of addicting, but after I while I have to ask myself why on earth I'm playing.

Higher lvls disrespect you, and everything is way out of your financial reach. Leveling is probably the worst of all MMOs.

I haven't played very many MMOs. The only one I ever played was FFXI. The only thing I ever really hated about it, was the fact that it took forever and a day to lvl, and its attracted a fairly large community of RMT. What's thwe point of buying a level 75 character? they've already done everything for you. Thank goodness for [GM] Dave.

RMT = Real money Trade. The act of paying real money for things you can get in a video game for free, or for a little work. Also applies to buying a preplayed character.

Runescape's not that bad. It might not be the best, but at least it's free. Well, unless you want stuff you'll never use, level up skills that aren't as useful, or be able to visit places you'll never go to. It's kinda old-school where everything isn't handed to you and you had to work hard to succeed. But, then again, many of you have been spoiled by these newer games that require the latest thousand-dollar graphics card and a computer so state-of-the-art, it won't exist for another thousand years.

The worst is probably Maplestory, because my computer won't let me play it for some reason.
