This reminds me of the time I found a condom wrapper in a bed in a motel. Maybe it was a used condom. I can't exactly remember. All I know is that it was one or the other. Maybe both. Curse this worsening memory of mine.

when the "hotel" you choose also has an hourly rate chances are you are not in a classy joint.

some things were down right wrong even for the least expensive of the places. some i wouldn't stay even if they paid me to stay. but the one with the lobby being renovated is not so bad. that is actually a good sign that the room will most likely be renovated as well, which usually means new beds and bathrooms. not the same old grungy shit that has been there for 20 years.

(maybe it wasn't that the lobby was being renovated but that there was a black man standing there. "we aint staying in a hotel with no colored folk")
