Indeed. That tongue cannot be a healthy trait to breed into an animal. Considering their were calls to alter the breeding of bulldogs due to various health problems/defects, I can't really see why the same hasn't been done there.

This particular dog was a rescued animal, so the crappy condition of its eyes, lips, and tongue were probably due to mistreatment. The tongue is supposed to stick out, but not to be wrinkled and chapped like this one.

Or not. I'm not going say there isn't a type of crazy that works toward pet contest money through pet abuse, but that is definitely a unique kind of crazy. Dogs are mistreated more than by apathetic owners that raise dozens of animals in cramped, unsanitary conditions for profit than by crazy people.

The poor thing fell out of the ugly tree and hit every branch on the way down.

Then the ugly tree fell on him. And exploded. Then, as he crawled from the wreckage, the remains of the ugly tree sprang to life and began beating him. As he ran from the violent ugly tree pieces, he fell off the ugly cliff and hit the ground. The pieces of the ugly tree leaped off after him and smashed into him as he lay on the ground beneath the ugly cliff. Then the ugly cliff collapsed and buried him. Then it exploded too. :(
