This is preferably for people who know a lot about the mouth, you don't have to be a dentist I just need some ideas.

Everytime I close my teeth shut or bite something, something in the right corner of my mouth really hurts, it feels like i'm biting through flesh or something and it's very painful. Now I thought at first I was biting through an ulcer but I can't feel or see one. So, any ideas whats going on?

No clue. Spin a circle three times, barf and go to your nearest dental clinic. :) A dentist or dental hygienist is probably the best person to ask. Getting advice on NSG is only good if you wanna mess up your life. ;)

Possibly the start of an infection which, should the nerve of the tooth die or be dieing, could lead to an abcess.

quit eating if it hurts, call your doctor, see if they can call you in some sort of pain medication

and go to the dentist.

Then eat something soft. Milk shakes are always good. :)

If it's painful, can't they bring you in sooner? Just asking, since they'll usually see emergency cases before regular ones if they can.

And don't you use any pain killers?

Not sure about the actual problem, but if you want to take your mind off the pain, you'll need the following:

One friend. One cricket bat (or similar). At least one testicle.

I may be remembering wrong (this was around 6 years ago and I was, understandably, drugged out of my mind), maybe it's compacted.

The way you described your tooth is how I remember seeing mine before they came out. It was essentially stuck underneath a bit of my jawbone (or the final molar).

I've heard of this before. What you're feeling is false pain feedback because of a tumor lodged in the left side of the frontal lobe of your brain that is near nerves associated with jaw movement.

This sort of tumor is inoperable. I hate to be the one to tell you, but you're going to die.

Very few people actually have wisdom teeth that don't need to be removed. Chances are you'll need to have them out anyway.

I would disagree with that statement. We don't tend to remove wisdom teeth unless they are a real problem and the majority of wisdom tooth problems can be dealt with quite simply.
20/30+ years ago they removed wisdom teeth on a whim, it's not that common now.

Recommendation to the OP would be, as already suggested by someone else, rinse your mouth using warm salty water (roughly 1 teaspoon to a mug of water) as often as you can and continue with pain killers until you see your dentist, although your description sounds like a perfectly healthy tooth breaking the gum (now you know why babies cry when teething!)

That's understandable. We all learn through experience so it makes sense.

Wisdom teeth are (slowly) starting to be less of a problem. A little known fact is that people are losing their wisdom teeth through the generations so, given another century or so, the majority of people probably won't have them anymore. Not a lot of help for us now but will make things easier in the future...

On a side note, did you have ortho work? The reason I ask is as more people have ortho work, as often tend to have teeth extracted for braces, they get their wisdoms through easier rather than those without who have less space in the mouth, so no ortho work, more chance of problems.

Impactions a problem and I can understand why they extracted the teeth. Can't quite work out the spacers if they knew you had wisdoms though because that would reduce the space for them... not sure on that one without looking at an OPG (the big x-ray that showed your entire mouth).

The lower two I believe at the time odds were they would have to come out anyway, they were impacted under the jawbone. So reducing the chances of them coming in correctly was moot. At the time, I believe the common attitude was "if you're taking one, take 'em all." This was around 10 years ago.

It won't work straight away, give it chance, it isn't local anaesthetic. Even penicillin takes 24 hrs to kick in.
Do it, roughly, once every few hours or so (or whenever you can) over a day or two. It won't take all the pain away but it can help reduce inflammation and discomfort over time.

The saltwater is more to guarantee that any chance of inflammation or infection is reduced in the area more than actually getting rid of the pain specifically.
It probably isn't what you want to hear, but keep taking pain killers (ibuprofen is the best and check out the inner sheet as to how much you can take, the dosage is often different to that on the outside of the box i.e. taking a one-off dose of 1000mg shouldn't do you any harm, but don't do it often!) and it should, over time, become easier as the tooth erupts fully.
Still, if you have an appointment with the dentist keep it as they can confirm or deny anything I've said, especially as they can see the problem and I'm working on descriptions.

From what I can gather I wouldn't think you need them out. As I said earlier, it just sounds like you're teething. The only problem being is that in a fully grown adult the bones, other teeth, etc don't have as much give as they do when you're a child so it hurts!
