Africa: Human Rights Abuse; is America Competing With Africa?
17 June 2007

... Acleo Kalinga, 37 was detained by Ugandan security forces without trial since June 02, 2005.

Now back in Rwanda, Kalinga is a desperate man. Having disappeared for two years from his family, his wife had to leave him. ("Detained and tortured for two years": Daily Monitor June 14, 2007).

Not that it would have made a lot of difference when he returned. Kalinga claims he lost his manhood at the hands of Uganda's security. He also lost, partly, his vision, hearing and sense of taste.
...
These enforced disappearances involve violations of treaties binding on the United States, including the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights and the Convention against Torture and Other Cruel, Inhuman or Degrading Treatment or Punishment. They also violate international humanitarian law.

Amnesty International, Cageprisoners, the Centre for Constitutional Rights, the Centre for Human Rights and Global Justice, Human Rights Watch and Reprieve - have been at the forefront of addressing U.S.-led "disappearances"

I really wish you'd stop changing names.Occeandrive was banned..
And I don't wish to appeal the ruling(ask a second opinion its called.. I think),

I wouldn't appeal, even if I felt I could be able to win an appeal.
I am not big on appealing rulings @ NSG, i feel its a waste of time.

America, despite all of its wrongdoings, is far better than Africa in terms of human rights.

Why? I point you to Uganda, where the LRA abducted thousands of children and turned them into either soldiers or sex slaves. Guantanamo is hardly that.

It really doesn't make me feel any better that we can say "well at least America isn't doing THAT". What we are doing now is bad enough, some else doing something worse hardly makes it look any less bad.

I'd think you'd have to try pretty hard to get deleted around here. Mods are fairly relaxed.

UK Gives UPDF Sh4.5b To Uganda

16 June 2007
Britain has given sh4.5b to sustain the UPDF peacekeeping force in strife-torn Somalia. The money is for immediate disbursement, according to the British High Commissioner, Francois Gordon.

Gordon announced the £1.4m contribution on Friday and praised the UPDF for their courage. This was during a cocktail party held at his residence in Nakasero to celebrate Queen Elizabeth's birthday.

"To date, just one government, that of Uganda, has actually made a contribution to AMISOM, the peacekeeping operation in Mogadishu. We salute the courage of the UPDF members deployed in Mogadishu, eight of whom have paid the ultimate price," Gordon said.

Err... yes... we gave them money because they're mounting a peacekeeping operation. This is actually probably for the best.

Its the gospel truth. His location said "evil mutha fokker" and the mods asked him to change it for months, and he didn't so good bye nation..hmm

My Location said ##evil.mothe.fucker## when I was ordered to change it.
I changed it to my favorite evil Air-units "Mutalisk" and "Fokker".

but I plead non-contest (guilty).
