I'm a fan of Ace Combat games, and since Erusea was taken. In history class I learned about the "Neo-Assyrian" and "Neo-Babylonian" empires so I figured I'll add "Neo-" to Erusea.

I couldn't think of anything, so i just went with MrWho, because I use it in other forums.

But the reason I like him isn't so much about the drugs... I love his style of writing. I have a problem with my writing being too clinical and precise, so I try and write more like him.

Man, I sure do love telling this story every few months. Reminds me of my first thread.

Dryk is the name I use for everything. When I tried signing up, I accidentally took my own name (don't ask) so I had to think of a way to make it different. Being an NS noob at the time I decided to add 's Legacy to the end to make it sound slightly more important and country like (Dryk's ____ subsequently becoming naming plan B (eg. Dryk's Core at IGN). Also the title (which most people never see) "The Psychedelic Universe of" is named of two songs from an anime, which is just my naming convention (my email for example, monochrome.universe, my blog on IGN is named Dryk's Inner Universe (which is actually only one song title)). And that's how I got my name. Damn that's a lot of brackets. :p

I guess I was in one of my "I'm pissed off at having to register on every damn website I visit" moods. :p

All the good ones I could come up with were taken. So I was looking over at my curtain and thought of damask. Put an 'e' at the end just for better luck and viola!

I chose it because I liked the sound and because it was Latinesque, fitting the original theme of my nation.

I named my nation after a fictional planet I invented when I was wee. I got that from the Mediterranean wind.

I didn't know what to pick, so I looked at the pretitles first.:)

My nation's name is derived from an ancient Swahili dialect. Loosely translated, it means, "He who constantly lies about the meaning of his name."

For fanfic-writing I needed names of the cities of Hyrule's lesser-known neighboir Calatia. The following were the main five cities:

Calasta (the capital)
Darantol
Lorenya
Tranora
Torano

Fun fact: If you count the comics as canon, then the best known Calatian is the Link who appears in both NES Zeldas.

I tried a couple of different names first then I chose this one cuz it was the first one that worked. Lousy name but I didn't expect me to be here for more than a week perhaps.

I originally wanted to be Florin (hence Farflorin for those of you who know my puppets) or Guilder, but both were taken sadly so then I hit a bunch of random letters, wanting pointless letters in the name. I always liked the letter "K",... plus the z has a nice little home in my name.

I love Roman history, but Londinivm and Londinium were taken. So I threw a "British" on.

Norden ~ Originally, this country was supposed to be of Scandinavian character. So I combined names of the two Scandinavian nations... guess what are they. Only to find out "Norden" is a surname and a name of a Norweigan ship.

My old account was Proggressica, because my nation was to be progressive. The g was a spelling mistake I cleverly covered up by stating 'The extra g is for great'. Then that account was banned for 10 days after some poor decisions on my behalf, and then the mod realised my nation was dead so banned it for good. Hence my clever new name.

Why did I call my nation Vectrova? ... Hmm. That's a good question.

It doesn't mean anything, nor translate into anything that I'm aware of. I didn't hit random keys, either.

Oh well. Vectrova is Vectrova, and that's all that matters to me. Make of it what you wish.

i borrowed the book from a friend and read it. after reading it i sat it on my desk where it stayed for about a year. came across it when naming my nation and shortly after that finally decided to return the book to my friend.
