I think they have a huge amount of pent-up aggression built up from years of being repressed, by Asians, specifically Muslims, and by joining the young BNP, they have a positive outlet for their aggression

I don't think that clip proves that the British are necessarily more or less racist than anyone else - it's a few people, remember. Hell, I think there's even a few hundred people who still affiliate with the KKK. Hard to believe, but it's true.

Actually, Klan membership has increased thanks to their increased focus on illegal immigrants rather than blacks or Catholics. It's a lot easier to be racist when you hide it within a legitimate cause.

Actually it's more than just those few. There was some poll some days or weeks back that said a majority of Brits, along with all of western Europe with the exception of France, dislike immigrants.

Woops. Guess most Brits don't like them damn foreigners. Same for most Germans and Italians. And nearly half of all Spainish folk. Come to think of it a lot of Western Europe still has a lot of lingering nationalist feelings. Now I haven't studied the causes of this but I wouldn't be at all suprised if it were beacuse of the idea that your heritage matters to a lot of Europeans. That they want to preserve some kind of national identity or something. That could be completely wrong and as I said it's just a wild guess.

For all the jokes about France and the french being cowards or rude, hell even I've told my fair share, it really is a pretty good place culturally and the people seem more accepting than some other people in that region of the world.

It only included 6 nations but I'm willing to bet it indicates a trend. Look around Sweden and tell me how much ethnic diversity you find? I'm not saying that there must be quotas, I hate that I'm just saying that of the 6 polled only France and the US were fairly accepting of different cultures. I'd count whole nations west of Eastern Europe as it was defined before the soviet collapse as Western Europe. That means Ireland, Iceland, Denmark, Portugal, Spain, France, Italy, Switzerland, Germany, Austria, Holland, Norway, Sweden, Finland, and the little guys. Austria and Germany are very close and considering past history the poll results are not suprising (Before you try to get me for that I've got a lot of German blood on my fathers side).

I live in Minnesota. You don't see many Scandinaviens of varying ethnicity.

If you don't think that there are a lot of intollerant people in Europe then do a survey of all of Europe and prove it. I'm not saying that America and France are perfect but France and the US are more accepting of different people's and cultures than the rest of Europe so says a recent poll.

How should I know? I don't speak for the country. I can just say that I don't come across much xenophobia, and that I've noticed that there is a general "frowning upon" of it, but I could just be sheltered and completely out of touch. As I said, how should I know?

I am a Scottish Nationalist by heart but would never ever consider blaming an English person on my ills or those of Scotland. BTW, I stopped watching the video the second she said, "... to take back your country". It's quite sad. I was expecting the typical BNP thug to appear, but no. It's a real shame that a girl like that has given into bigotry and falsehood's.
