We need to elect more dead people to office.

With all the corrupt and self serving politicians we have we would probably be much better off if we elected more dead people to office.

Dead West Virginia City Official Wins Re-Election in a Landslide
No one popped the champagne when city recorder Bill Casto was overwhelmingly re-elected this week in Ripley, West Virginia.

That’s because the day before the election, the 74-year-old Casto dropped dead of a heart attack outside of his home.

“Since he passed away the day before, we just kept his name on there,” city clerk and treasurer Tom Armstead told FOXNews.com. “In the state code, the ballot has to be set up many days before, so there was no way to physically remove him from it.”

Casto won the election Tuesday in a landslide, besting his opponent 523-324.

you sure the voters didn't read it wrong and really wanted Castro?

either way as pirates say "dead men tell no tales" so maybe with more rotting corpses in office we can actually know whats going on in governments

Not the first time that has happened. There was a pretty high-profile instance of this happening in the 90s I think. Anybody remember any details about that?

edit: time warping is one of the key issues in Casto's new modernization plan

Have you ever heard Lewis Black's bit about how we should elect Ronald Reagan's corpse to office, on the grounds that no one would ever mess with a nation whose populace was so crazy they'd elect a corpse to office?

I thought just a few years ago a congressman died in a plane crash or something and his wife served his term.

I think you'll find most of your elected representatives are dead to you the moment you want them to do anything for you... :headbang:

The virgin mary is not queen anymore (the middle ages are over), and the proposal to name jesus king failed by a landslide (thankfully). However, if you are looking for a real example of having a dead person as the leader, look at north korea.

Former governor and would-have-been-Senator Mel Carnahan, from Missouri. I was one of the people who supported Carnahan over Ashcroft even after the plane crash. Whenever people complain about my state being too right-wing, I point out that we preferred a dead man representing us to John Ashcroft.

Personally, I support electing more living dead to office, because their campaign platforms are clear and concise: a bloodcurling moan, followed by a horde of zombies eating human flesh. Contrast this to the living politicians, who are, for the most part, morons who shouldn't have left the first grade.

This makes me have more faith in the American people. Thank you. :)

I'm a second that actually voted for a dead man. Then Ashcroft became Attorney General. That's the American way I guess.

I would like to point out that being eaten alive is also better for the average American is better then being forced to watch a year of shitty campaign commercials.
