It is nice to know that the city I was born in continues to thrive and prosper, even on an international scale:

Three Canadian cities make best-in-business list (http://news.sympatico.msn.ctv.ca/TopStories/ContentPosting.aspx?feedname=CTV-TOPSTORIES_V2&showbyline=True&newsitemid=CTVNews%2f20070612%2fcities_study_070612)

This following part is especially gratifying, especially in regards to the health care that has been so hotly debated here:

While the three Canadian municipalities failed to crack the top ten, they placed in the top three in terms of being the easiest places in the world for doing business.

Vancouver came in first, followed by Toronto and Montreal.

The study cited "a strong national health care system, excellent infrastructure, low traffic and easy access to public transportation" as reasons why the cities were the most attractive for doing business.
One, two, and three........freaking awesome!!

I'd be interested in seeing why each city is ranked where they are (for every one on the list).

Congrats to the northern neighbors on kickin' butt, like they usually do.

It's the Tim Hortons. While it may seem like it lowers productivity by delaying workers en-route to jobs, the incredible coffee high motivates and propels us to Can-excellence.

It's all about the drugs. Evidently people don't have quite as high regard for Montreal's hashish as they do for B.C.'s bud.

Canada's never been a bad place to do business. When my dad went into business in the 80's, one of the first offices he opened was in Toronto. Not a bad idea, and I think he had some tax savings by doing so to boot.
