God is like George Bush

Clearly...
He decided to invade space and time (Iraq) because Nothing (Saddam) tried to kill his Daddy (God Snr). He therefore went with a strategy of the Big Bang (Shock & Awe)
He then declared victory and took a rest on the 7th day but he had NO post-bang plans and therefore the planet has descended into chaos and civil, sectarian strife.
He did it for the oil (no idea) and to keep the religion (dollar) hegemony.
You're either with him or against him.
I'll do a poll if I can work out how.
Discuss or extend the analogy ad nauseam

Actually there's a huge difference. God does not exist. George bush unfortunately does.

There's some 5 minute thing that doesn't allow me to post the same post so I'm not going to bother now. That's how petty I am.
I've nothing to add except...
You live in Poland, you've never even seen George Bush - how would you know?
Ah ha ha ha I tricked Jolt
Also, 10 people so far have voted that There is no George Bush - majority rules

There's a slight difference.
Nobody listens to George Bush any more.

Actually, that's George junior doing all the sh*t right now, so to make your analogy/parable complete, isn't someone going to have to nail that little prick to a tree or something?

Actually, I think the people who still listen to Bush are the same ones who think God is talking to them--like, through appearing in grilled cheese sandwiches.

I love God, but in his decision, bush looks like an anti-Christ. Jesus is the Prince of Peace, not the Prince of wars

An, yes ...
THE ...? Not so sure.
One would think "The" would have a bit better focus and a better grasp of his native language.

Yes, it's the law.

Right, I didn't really think too much about this hence the huge holes in my analogy, but that never stopped me before.

Are there many anti-Christs? How many are there out there?

Yes, it's the law.I would say he's spent too long ducking it, making signing statements about it, blocking it, firing lawyers who might support it, re-writing it, or basically "deciding" on it. Time he spent a little time on the other side of it.
Are there many anti-Christs? How many are there out there?A friend of mine spent some time trying to explain it as a method or movement of intent, for which you dissolve your personal conscience the same way you might if you were deluded in the christian fashion - as if baptism and confession absolves you of responsibility for heinous, conscious choices.
What about the "Legion" concept?

Sounds less like a "Decider" than a "Whiner and Blamer" to me.
Well, representing the "conservatives", he's obviously afraid of change, and whatever commitment it requires to take responsibility for serious situations.

we also wouldn't exist because there wouldn't be a self sustaining web of life that worked. earth would be just another mars.
