DFD Misses the Old NS..... :(

So, I was just randomly writing a post on an off-site forum about some of the old things in NS. And it just so happened that I thought I'd write up a small thread here to discuss some of those things that other's may miss as well.
I am aware that this thread cannot pertain to everyone; not all members date back to the days of the Old NS. However, it can be enjoyable, nonetheless, to everyone to see the comparisons between the way things used to be and how things are now.
First, of course, I will begin with writing some of my fondest memories. Maybe we can compile a list of the best NS memories of all time or something by the end of this thread. We will see where it goes as it comes along.
One word.....Marathon (one of the most notorious NS'ers ever to play this game).
The old NS forums.
No regional passwords or ejections.... AKA: No Rejected Realms.
The Pacific....the one and only.....
The allure and mystery of the omnipotent and ever-present [violet].
Myrth.
The excitement of NS II.
CG's 100+ puppet nations.
Satan and Hell.
MAX BARRY's grand appearences!
Last but certainly not least, the old and original Moderators. Special tribute to Ineptia!

How old is old?
I remember the semi-old NS. I think it was like 6 months after the switch, or something.
Nothing really exciting though.

We used to be a wild bunch! We'd have the most fun and cause some of the most chaos.
Defending and Invading used to be wicked fun. It was hard to tell sometimes who was do the invading and who the defending. And within that there are a slew of memories in their own, like infamous invader's who have been quite successful, such as DEN and others whose names I can no longer remember because they were such miserable failures.
Oh and there was CG. She was amazing! She had all these puppets and she became one of the greatest puppet masters in this game. Oh she stirred up a lot in NS. She was crazy and wild and such a great person to get to know! Oh how I miss CG....
And Siggi and Greymarshes, the seasoned presences that commanded the RRA. Miss those guys; they were great to talk to.

The oldest NS I remember is from 2005. I came in January of that year.
The only "Golden Age" I can remember is mid-2005. All of the good guys were there, the (good) music threads were still allowed, and the threads in general were of a much higher quality.
And to think that I averaged over fifty posts a day back then...
