Sir Ivor Roberts, Britain's Ambassador to Italy, declared last September that the "best recruiting sergeant for al-Qaeda" was none other than the U.S. President, George W. Bush. With the American election entering its final furlongs, he added, "If anyone is ready to celebrate the eventual re-election of Bush, it is al-Qaeda."

Let me break this down for you as simply as possible. Bush has killed terrorists. Terrorists make the world unsafe. Ergo, Bush has made the world safer.

Studies show that terrorism has gotten signifigantly worse after the War of Terror started.

Agreed. She would definitely know that Bush's two terms have not made the world safer, but there is no way she would ever say that publicly.

Bush's invasions and wanton destruction has only added fuel to the fire of extremist groups. Recruitment is much easier for them if the possible recruits have suffered the death of loved ones at the hands of American. Ergo, Bush has made the world less safe.

Kinda like how drug crime got worse after the war on drugs started?

Maybe if Bush actually took notes or scribbled anything down besides needing "go potty", he'd be able to say something like, "History will be kind to me for I intend to write it."

You know, the interesting thing I find about that graph isn't that acts of terrorism have increased since the War on Terrah started, it's moreso that in each year, it tends to peak in the middle of the year, and towards the beginning and end it lowers. Intriguing, no?

It's a shame the amount of terrorists killed is far less than the amount he's bred for generations to come.

it gets hot, people get cranky, stuff gets blown up. I wonder if you would see something generally similar in a lot of crime stats. in Greece, post offices regularly get blown up in the summer, but they're usually polite terrorists that call in first to let everyone know.

I like the part where she says, "It may take successive administrations to succeed. But we know what you have to put in place so that successive administrations can succeed. And you don't get there by covering up the problems or trying to find a temporary solution to them that isn't worth the paper it's written on."
In other words, "We've made nearly every mistake there is to make, so if you repeat our example you're stupider than a shrub."
