This interview was quite interesting, so I thought I'd share it with NSG and get some opinions. Personally I am very happy that Putin is cracking down on the oligarchs and transnationals that try to exploit Russia as they did in Yeltsins time etc.

well I have to say he is a good speaker (or writer I forget which:p) especially when he talks of western attitude towards Russia as detrimental something which I have to agree with, I know full well that Russia isn't a nation to be trusted but of course that makes me feel somehow naughty :(

I also now see this from a Russian point of view, I confess I failed to see the big picture in and most importantly how the Russians might views this but it does seem highly unfair (and characteristically western) that the Russians have pulled there heavy arms back behind the Urals (something I don't beleive for a second) yet the west hasn't tried to calm its cold war position in the slightest

edit: also Putin claims to be the man keeping Scotland down :p
