Any fans of these things out there? I was thinking it is about time I cashed in on the first three books that I have, which are geniune first edition hardbacks.

Now I hear a lot of hype about the vaule etc.. anybody in the know for sure, and how would I best sell them?

Last I heard only the first and second book first editions have any value. I know I didn't get much for a first edition third book that was signed by her, in any case.

I'd hang on to the books if I were you.

I know with at least the first two, it matters if it is from Europe or the States.

If I recall correctly, only the first 2 would be worth anything, because after that, the printings of the others were record breaking.

I ran the children's department of my local Barnes and Noble when they first came over here, and it would be weeks and weeks between shipments. Once the 3rd one came out, they were printing more of the first printing than had ever been printed before. Especially now, where people have been prepurchasing the books, they are printing to meet demand.

I wish that I had the first editions of the first 2 books. I didn't "discover them" as adult friendly books until later. I'm totally hooked now, and I'm a bit sad that it's all over after this book.

Keep them, you never know when you might want to read them again, or pass them on.
