Dr Suess pawns all.
In recent times, Julia Donaldson (The Gruffalo, Room on the broom, Smartest Giant in Town) is great.
One more time, Dr Suess pawns all.

yeah, he vividly remembered it as his favourite child's book.
The fact it was first published in 1969, when GWB would have been 23 at the time is rather telling.

her, my good man, her.
There's a village in Tibet that has some of her books btw. Lord knows what they make of them but I had to give them 'A Dragon in a Wagon' because it has the line (and picture) "a yak on his back" which I figured they'd like - and indeed, they did. The entire village thought it hilarious.

I loved all sorts of books as a child. I still really love Beverly Cleary, E.B. White, Mark Twain, and Wilson Rawls.
Most recently I have memorized a lot of books (due to reading them repeatedly to my children) my current favorite is Chicka Chicka Boom Boom
A told B,and B told C,"I'll meet you at thetop of the coconut tree, chicka chicka boom boom will there be enough room?
