Do You Have Unusual Fingerprints?

Apparently I do!
All of my fingerprints are arches. In the general population, about 65 per cent of all fingerprints are loops; 30 per cent are whorls; and only 5 per cent are arches. From what I've read, it's very rare for a person to have arches on all 10 fingers.
Sucks, though, because I think whorls look the coolest, and I haven't even got one.
I'm going to check my toes.

Clearly God has marked you out as an atheist and, when the revelation comes, you'll be first against the wall.
Is it possible to have some arches and some loops, because that's what I seem to have.

funny I have arches too.
I date a girl once whos father was in forensics for the police and she looked at my fingers and claimed it'd be easy to match my fingerprints because of it.

I stumbled on a site that has statistics on the incidence of each pattern type for each finger, but now I can't find it. Grr. It was cool, though, because there are some interesting quirks. Like how a given pattern is almost never found on the index finger, but is very common on every other finger.

I'm super-common in a partly uncommon way, according to the descriptions on the site: Both thumbs are double loops, both index and middle fingers are loops, as is the right pinkie, both ring fingers are peacock's eyes.
The only deviant is the left pinkie that's a peacock's eye, too.
Your link mentions that, too, though.
Yeah, but it doesn't give the stats. And you know how data makes me randy.

I can't believe you missed this golden opportunity to write "hard data". What a disappointment. :(

I've got peacock's eyes on both my index fingers. The rest are 3 loops (both thumbs and left middle finger), and whorls on all others.

I have whorls on my index, ring and pinky, a loop on my middle finger and a double loop (apparently very rare) on my thumb.

I have arches on my three middle fingers on each hand, with loops on my thumbs and pinkies.
Interesting.
Index and middle fingers are both arches. The other two are loops, and my thumbs are loops, too.

I'm common. Loops on all, all coming from the little finger.

I have loops, but lower down my fingers they become arches. And on 2 fingers I have rubbish, but that's because of an accident with a rotating sander when I was twelve.
Edit: And looking closer I see that I have whorls on my actually all of my fingers except the middles ones (those are loops and were the fingers I initially looked at)
I'm a freak :D
At least one of each! Yay, I'm average!
