Does anyone know how to get embedded windows media files to play with firefox? Is it some extension I don't have? I apologize in advance if this is seen as spam, but this has been buggin me for a while.

If you have a Mac, I had problems using WMP when I updated my OS and had to download this thing that turned all the WM stuff into Quicktime, I got it from the WMV site.

You may have the player, but not the plugin.

It is. I have to use IE in order to run XM's browser player.

I clicked on the media player link and it was just a link to install the player.

Really, because it gave me a link to just the plugin.

i had to install the .dll files manually in the end. i can't remember how i did it in the end but i mostly just followed all the help options presented to me when it the plugin wouldn't install properly.

i managed to actually install the plugin, or so it said, but the files never actually ended up in the right place (or anywhere i could find them). you can get the correct .dll files elsewhere, there's instructions in the help wotsit thingy, and just copy them in manually.
