Are we talking about the same Iraq as the one Bush exploded? If so, I'm gonna need a temperature check for Hell.

Hasn't this been tried before?

Several times?

Throughout history?

As the price for peace, the insurgents have demanded jobs, pensions and amnesty for their fighters, including those who have killed Americans. That is hugely controversial, but it may simply be necessary. As one senior Pentagon adviser put it, "They will stop killing us if we reconcile with them."

This isnt an unfair price.
Amnesty for IRAQIS is fair.

I mean I dont like it. I would like to see every fucker who took a shot at an American GI becoming part fo the landscape. But, if the roles were reversed I would be killing foreign soldiers. It is their country, the bullets flying at US nationals in uniform is demonstration they would like us to go now.

If we can get peace and Iraq can have some stability, I want my people coming home.

There are too many things to discuss... I would just like to see our people home.

"Good job, welcome back." That is what I want to say, that is all I want to say.

So long as the amnesty and job thing is really just supposed to be a moving-along-but-let-me-support-myself thing rather than a let's-pretend-we're-moving-along-but-really-try-to-power-grab, then I'm all for it!

**Note, this is because I noticed that some of them are going for police officers, which is an important job that they could choose to corrupt or, alternatively, they could be the best people for. It really depends upon whether their intentions are honest, and if their intentions are honest, I'm all for it!

So really, in return for ceasing hostilities with the Coalition, the former Iraqi Army want us to give them back something we taken away from them 4 score years ago i.e thier jobs.

-1 Kelvin currently

(engage nerdism)
Zero Kelvin is the absolute zero - to the non-science-nerds out there. ;)

And when scientists have managed to go some fractions of a millionth or thousandth Kelvin below the absolute zero, it has technically been hotter than any measurement devices have been able to measure, and has also near-instantly flipped right back to the plus-Kelvins.

HIJACK

Zero Kelvin has never been reached.
It is the theoretical point at which atoms and molecules completely cease to move. Hence if they are not moving at all, there is a reason it is called Absolute Zero.

HIJACKING OVER.

If they did cease to move then surely all their kinetic energy would have to go somewhere? 0o

"Peace" in Iraq will be a faction war, and everyone knows it. The only thing that will ultimately change is who the bullets are flying at.

Well that is the question...since Absolute Zero is THEORETICAL and has not yet been achieved we cant say wiether or not it will cause the atom to collapse.

But, for there to be a negative Kelvin would require the atom to give up more energy then it started out with...right. So it is thermodynamically impossible for a system to give up more enrgy then it has, when it runs out of energy...its out of energy. T=0 K

I think that, as of this time, an apology would be in order too.

It's a fact, it can't be avoided by keeping American troops there. It will happen sooner or later with or without us there. That's my argument for a "cease-fire" and pull out.

I think that explains the "should be colder than cold but is hotter than hot" thingy... that, or else an equipment malfunction. :p

since Absolute Zero is THEORETICAL and has not yet been achieved we cant say wiether or not it will cause the atom to collapse.

True, but they did manage something like minus 3 millionths of Kelvin - it wasn't even that long ago (unless you're still a teenager, then you probably were too young to be cognizant), some time in the 90's. Most people claimed it must have been equipment malfunction, but they've done it twice with different equipment, so currently no-one knows what the hell it is or was. Research continues, surprise surprise. :)

I'm afraid that will have to wait until something like 60 years after the end of the war, like with WW2 stuff.

So whatever happened to the "no negotiation with "terrorists"? Mind, I think this should have been done long ago but to be doing this and then to refuse to talk with "terrorist" states such as Iran and Syria is just a tad hypocritical.
