I really hope in the next situation he just lets the asshole go.
Those kind of people make me si-- *SNEEZE*-- sick, see!?
Surely it should a simple task to find out when he checked into the hospital and when the ambulance picked him up.

Surely the knife wound, and the profalactics (s/p?) he is taking for the injury and the time of treatment...I mean he was stabbed in the fucking hospital.
But also, proof of the injury occuring at work.
As if he got stabbed somewhere else and is just messing with his job?!?
He got shanked with what is believed to be a shit covered blade, the hospital is treating for such and yet they are suggesting he got stabbed with a shit covered blade somewhere else besides handling a prisoner.
How cheap is Cook County? He doesnt want to sue, he just wants his sick leave pay...the article even says he will be going back to work soon...as a gaurd.
Give the guy his cash for his workman's comp and call it a day. He kept his gun, helped catch the bad guy, and got stabbed in the neck...that is worth worth 10 0r 15 thousand bucks...to pay his medical bills and rent and grocery bills...I mean damn.

This is just plain wrong. The guard was plainly injured on the job. The audacity of those who refuse to compensate him is confusing. He did his job. He got hurt. But he didn't quit and he put the safety of others ahead of his own life.

Additionally, Stroger Hospital officials have sent the 19-year officer a $3,750 medical bill for the emergency services he received that day.
.........
Zaccaro said he expects to go back to work in June. But as the sole provider for himself and his wife of 16 years, Mary, he hasn't had a paycheck in two months. With the denial of benefits from Stroger's office, he says he doesn't know how he'll pay the mounting bills at home.

:p sorry, I misread. Sometimes when I am tired I add in words that aren't there....thanks.
I knew there was a reason they didn't want Stroger on the council...
Does the world's population of ungrateful, stupid people just migrate here? Out of all the articles I've seen posted and read in my (admittedly short) time here, half of them have been in Chicagoland.

since like 1 out of 30 people in the country lives in chicago, you'd expect a decent number of chicago articles. its the wisconsin articles that are all disproportionate.

But seriously... what the fuck is wrong with those people? He was doing his job, recieved a potentially life threatening wound, and continued doing his job. He deserved recompense... fuck he deserves a god damned medal! The only way he could have done any better was to shoot the guy.
