Oh, It's like a nuclear bomb; you have to wait at least 30 years till the radiation fades.

I live about six hours away. I also play a lot of shadowrun, so I know more about Seattle than I probably have a right to.

Believe it or not there are alot of conservatives out here. Remember Ronny Ray-gun came from Cali.

i did. once upon a time. in the mid 70s. on a small boat in lake union.

i've never WORKED in seattle, which is one of the main reasons i left.
and it wasn't for not trying or wanting to.

never could understand the oppostion to extending the monorail at least as far north as the university and south, at least to king street railway station, and that stupid stadium that was later built over where part of the rail yard used to be.

or how that nut in trasportation studies at the u, could construe kissing the tailpipes of cars while opposing public transportation as being pro-environmental.

i mean how or why people could or would buy into it.

i did have many fun experiences while there, but otherwise it was one of the less useful to me personaly places i have ever lived.

and i did ride the trolly busses a lot, and even the ferry boats on occasion.

and pike street market was cool, the underground spaces being kept publicly accessable, even gentrified development in them, was pretty cool.

but this was a seattle before the seattle there now. the former site of the 62 semi-world's fair had only just been taken over and renamed by the city and the food court there was still in continuous opperation from when it had been, likewise of course the space noodle, and there was a squre black glass tower downtown, everyone refered to as "the box the space needle came in".

My great grandparents use to have a farm in..... Rainier Valley! How about that for going way back. It is funny to see pics of my grandmother as a little girl in 1920 standing in a berry patch where now I believe the Pepsi plant sits.
