Trust me, Edwards has no spine. He's just hitting at Clinton, Obama and the other 2008 candidates in the Senate for making this decision (while, I might add, he doesn't have to make the decision, not being in the Senate.)

The Democrats just didn't have the votes. Why should they go forward with a bill if they're going to lose anyway?
