I have no bar experience. I'd be cleaning and collecting glasses. And maybe restocking the bar.

I made just short of the equivilent of $10,000 doing HR work last year. As a result, I neither want nor need to do any financial work this summer, so I intend to spend it entirely on preparing my dissertation.
Might work at my local. Probably not, though. I'll just scrape by on the remainder of my loan.
My summer job is the same as my non-summer job. Decent pay, flexible enough hours, dead on people, and dead easy.

And I do this summer apprentice program thing. $1550 flat, no taxes, for eight weeks of nothing, just like last year. I spend most of my days here.
I start next month.

I love my summer job, it's only on Friday-Sunday for five hours, but $10/hr to sit on the computer all day and drink free soda while dealing with the occasional tourist is awesome.
I work here (http://www.opus40.org/). I highly recommend having grandparents with a tourist attraction in their backyard, it makes summer jobs easy!

My Summer job is the same as my current job: Supermarket Clerk.
It's not a bad gig, really. I get around forty hours a week, and I recently got a promotion and a raise (instead of a lowly Bagger, I'm now a full-on Clerk, making $6.00 an hour, plus tips). I'll be making around $200 a week from here on out, not counting tips. Along with the decent money, the people are good, the hours are flexible, and the work isn't that bad.
I suppose I'll hang on to this job until I get out of Junior College, which I'll be attending for a few semesters. All things considered, it's still not going to give me enough money to disqualify me for a FAFSA Grant and student loans, yet it pays my bills and gives me some spending money. :D
It's the same as my regular job. Genetics Counselor at a Fertility Clinic.

Now that is one of the most uncalled for accusations I've ever seen on this forum. How dare you insinuate such penis melting ideas? Have you ever had to sit through Health class wondering what it feels like to have a penis? If you would have even taken one minute to get to know me, you would have learned that I lost my genitals in an unfortunate schmelting accident. Ignorant prick. I like gooooooooold.... and oil.

I clown more in the spring/summer than any other time of year, I hit a lot of the arts festivals and do my balloon twisting, it's pretty good money. On top of that I have a lot of "school's out" parties and birthday parties, and grand openings and vacation Bible schools that hire me.

that sounds cool. I'm also doing some research this summer - I was lucky enough to get an NSERC grant so I even get paid!! Unfortunately, though the topic (marine viruses) *should* be cool, I don't like my lab, my project, or my supervisor much. Most of the grad students are cold, frightening, and not very communicative. The research associate is an anal-retentive control freak who thinks I can't manage my time or design experiments. Plus results have sucked ass so far. Science is mean.
Although, it'll probably improve with time. The people aren't horrible - just a little un-fun, and hard to get to know. I'm probably worse than they are.
