I have that aswell , I got rid of SpyLocked and I think I got rid of MalwareWiped.

I don't think I have got all of Spylocked removed because I still have icon on the toolbar which brings up pop ups and when clicked on sends me to the SpyLocked homepage. I don't know how to get rid of it since I used removespylocked4.0 on spylock but thats still there.

There.
:)

@Cranhadan Selective:
You lie... You must lie... Spybot - S&D cannot let someone down...
NOOOOOOO!

Hmmmm...
Three other good programs I can recommend are AVG Free Antivirus, AdAware and ZoneAlarm firewall software.
Using ZoneAlarm you can probably stop the program from automatically doing some things, which is a good start, and then you can blitz it with everything else.

Then you are very intelligent, and must join the ruling elite of the Order of Cool Security Programs. *nods*

I tend to have two of every type of security program just to make sure. Two anti-spywares, two anti-adwares, two anti-viruses...
My laptop is more secure than Fort Knox.

Did you try them all on this malware, then?

Spybot is alright, I have a browser hijacker on my computer it has yet to find after several months. Ad-Aware doesn't find it either. Keeps changing my IE homepage, which would bug me if I used IE.

Wrong. It managed to completely remove a very invasive malware from my computer that I would have had buy a program for. AVG Anti-spyware & antivirus, Spybot S&D, and Ad-aware failed to remove it.

I've never successfully removed any spyware from my computer. I've tried many of the programs you've all listed, I've even gone into safe mode and went through the resgistry to delete every instance of spyware along with the actual files... nothing.

I always resort to a full reformat. Sure it takes a whole day to reinstall everything and get back to normal, but it helps to clean up my system since I never do scandisk or defrags. I never keep anything of value on C: because I have extra hard drives and an external drive. Spyware never touches them. Back in the old days, before I had a second drive, I would burn everything onto 20 CDs once a month... Best thing to do is bite the bullet and reformat immediately, instead of wasting time trying to remove it and aggravating yourself...

A bit... drastic.
I personally have never had any problems getting rid of any type of malware on those rare occasions it gets on to my laptop.

No, replacing Windows with Linux isn't drastic, it's common sense.
I just need to get around to making my laptop dual boot XP and Ubuntu.

Several good programs have been listed, such as Spybot Search and Destroy, and Ad-aware.

I also recommend Avira Antivir. It's a German program, though they have a flawless English version. I find it works better than almost any antivirus program, free or bought.

http://www.free-av.com/

(That URL is moronic, I know...what were they thinking?)

You're obviously having problems due to the trojan virus that first installed Spylock. The other programs will remove Spylock, but that does you no good if the virus'll just reinstall it again.

first, read up here: http://www.mvps.org/winhelp2002/hosts.htm which should help you block certain sites from ever loading in your browser.

Then after running spybot and adaware and getting rid of everything they can get rid of (you might have to do it in safe mode), make sure that there isnt anything in the startup section in the system configuration utility (start -> run -> type in msconfig -> click ok) that shouldn't be there. You can find otu by Googling all teh files shown. YOu can disable the entire set if you want.
