Ozzy or Dio?

So, as singers for Black Sabbath, and their solo stuff, do you prefer Ozzy or Dio?

I find Dio to be preferable to be Ozzy, to be honest. I haven't heard his solo stuff though.

Ozzy all the way.

I don't like Dio. At all.

Not his solo stuff, or his work with Black Sabbath.

I love Ozzy with Sabbath, but I really like Dio's solo stuff more than I do Ozzy's.

This stuff's all before my time. Although, I did have a mullet back in '88 or so, for a while. :p Thank God I was only in kindergarden and the memory is vague.

Dude, for anyone under, say, thirty, this stuff is before their time. Much good music is. Punk, the original heavy metal stuff, hard rock, etc...

I never knew that Dio was part of Sabbath at any point.

I guess that means that I shouldn't vote in the poll. I did, but I shouldn't. Not a medal head by any stretch.

Dio. I mean... Ozzy can't do anything without his wife telling him to! :D

I like both in Black Sabbath. The first six albums with Ozzy were better than any of the albums with Dio, but the albums with Dio poned the 7th and 8th albums with Ozzy.

As for solo stuff? No contest... Dio. His solo work is awesome. I find Ozzy's, by comparison, quite lacking.

In high school my mates and I used to listen to a few Dio songs and laugh at how bad they were. So generic sounding always with the same solo as the same time. And the most idiotic lyrics... I assume that is what most heavy music is like though.

You assume incorrectly (easy thing to do when assuming). There's quite a broad range.

I'm 25. At any rate, I'm going to have to say Ozzy in Sabbath/Dio solo. I can't stand Ozzy's new stuff. Besides, I like Bruce Dickinson's solo stuff, lyrically it's not much different from Dio
