I need a new portable music player, but I don't know what to get.....I was thinking of getting a 2GB iPod nano (http://www.futureshop.ca/catalog/proddetail.asp?sku_id=0665000FS10079787&catid=23473&logon=&langid=EN) or a 2GB Memory Stick for my PSP (http://www.futureshop.ca/catalog/proddetail.asp?logon=&langid=EN&sku_id=0665000FS10074505&catid=11434) which is $50 less....but...iPods are cool-looking...and I find it a pain in the ass to switch from games to music....What do you guys think? iPod, PSP, or something else? Poll Coming.....

i would go for the PSP, i have an iPod and it's broke twice already :rolleyes: . If you do end up getting the iPod get the warrenty.

I had an iPod, it was os fragile, I ended up with a Coby Mp3 player, I droped it, step on it, shattered the face, had my son try to flush it down the toilet...now its my wifes still ticking just fine...the screen still works its just smashed. My iPod would never have taken that beating.

If you have a PSP stick with it, if you want a dedicated portable music player...buy an off brand like a Coby or Sansa cheaper and more durable.

don't get an ipod, other mp3 players are cheaper and give you more memory. One of my friends and I both bought portable music players both at the same time. I got a 4g Nano and he got a 6g Sansa. My Ipod has less battery and obviously memory. I made a worse buy. Don't make the same mistake I did.

I might....just might...put some videos on there...

2 gigs isn't that much unless you plan to switch music in and out all the time. I have 12 gigs on my Ipod and thats just half of my music collection. I don't listen to it all in one sitting, but it means I can listen to whatever I feel in the mood for.

Another nice thing about Ipods is that they can function as a portable hard drive so you can throw software, movies or other computer documents on it and take it where you need to.

i despise the whole ipod craze that is happening. everything is all about ipods. thats why i went with creative instead. i thought about getting a zune since i do have a 360 and all. but thats way to damn expensive.

I have a 4 gig for my PSP.

however, I would not go with an Ipod. I like my Creative MuVo (http://www.creative.com/products/welcome.asp?category=213&subcategory=215&). 1 gig, but it also works as a thumbdrive, thus you don't need a docking station, or any seperate cables, just stick it into a USB port and transfer music/data.
the TX has a radio tuner inside, so news and radio are available.
and both can record from their built in mics.
A little more versitility for me.
