None whatsover. Neither had he. Seems to go with being part of that clique. Hes probably convinced himself passed the point of 'I've done nothing wrong' by now and thinks hes being martyred for standing up for America or some such nonsense.

Another Bush Syncophant bites the dust. Gonzo may be gone soon, and even Bush is on shakey ground with yesterday's testimony.

It's looking like time to get rid of the crooks.

You mean this one (http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/americas/6667823.stm)?

Leading US Democratic senators say they will seek a vote of no-confidence in US Attorney General Alberto Gonzales over his running of the Justice Department.

The vote, expected next week, comes amid a political row over the sacking of eight federal prosecutors.

Well, let’s hope the World Bank can return to the wonderful, humanitarian work it was doing before Wolfowitz. [/hip anti-globalisation sarcasm]

Which, in this country, means nothing. If they want to remove him, they can but a no-confidence vote does not do so I believe.

So what is the other neocon butthole Rumsfeld doing, anyways?
He, Rice and Wolfowitz are the main reasons why there is a war in Iraq right now. And how can Condolenza Rottweiler Rice be sacked?

Refusing to serve a Subpoena might count. She's already done that.

"The President, Vice President and all civil Officers of the United States, shall be removed from Office on Impeachment for, and Conviction of, Treason, Bribery, or other high Crimes and Misdemeanors."
-- United States Constitution, Article II, Section IV

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Impeachment_in_the_United_States

Note than in the entire history of the United States, two Presidents and a Secretary of War have been impeached but acquitted at trial. Members of the executive branch can rest assured that actions against them are rare and typically (100% of cases so far) fail.

Clearly true. Remember, though, that most people online are more interested in venting whatever frustration and like to ignore that fact. :p

It does not necessarily take impeachment procedures to get rid of a butthole in office.

Bullcrap. I would be shocked if you even know what Executive Privilege is, let alone the constraints of the power. The President clearly doesn't. Nixon v. The United States limited the scope of "Executive Privilege". The President's advisors don't have to serve subpoenas, except in cases where a crime is being investigated. Condi is being investigated over a crime.

Sorry Corny, the Imperial Presidency is a pipe dream invented by Shruby, and it will go down in flames with his tragically bad Presidency.

Good grief. How you think that this is somehow his idea (to quit) and that he is being all noble about it..is beyond me.

And what crime is that? Comeon. What crime? If you are talking about the prosecutor firings, if its political appointed then clearly the firings are not a crime.

So tell me what crime she is being investigated on.

Lying under oath regarding claims of Iraq gathering Uranium.

And, no, you're wrong about the Prosecuter firings too, but I expected that, Corny.

Lying under oath regarding claims of Iraq gathering Uranium.

You mean that intelligence that turned out to be false? Last time I checked, relaying intelligence that one person has =/= lying under oath.

And, no, you're wrong about the Prosecuter firings too, but I expected that, Corny.

So they are not politically appointed?

Being pushed =/= being fired.

errr....you haven't a clue how these things work do you?

The board of your organisation says to you...

Well...the problem we (as the board of directors) have is that you are on a anti-corruption programme yet you pulled strings to get a close friend a high paying job (in fact so high it throws the pay scales out of whack) using your political connections. As this involves the bank and yourself we have a credibility issue.

We as the banks directors do not think this is suitable behavior for the president of the bank.

Therefore we suggest that you resign.
