MSNBC stepped in it today when covering the Falwell death. Take a look (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7sL0I2DJtzE&eurl=http%3A%2F%2Fwww%2Etalkingpointsmemo%2Ecom%2F) at an MSNBC anchor get hosed by her producer who apparently couldn't tell the difference between whitehouse.gov and whitehouse.org. The latter is a well-known spoof site.

Sweet crap. This is worse than sourcing The Onion...a news channel should know the fucking White House's web address...for fucks sake...
Yet another reason why always-on news is not a good idea. Sometimes you need a freakin' minute to make sure you're not quoting someone elses joke.

Not that many people, according to the ratings, except when Keith Olbermann is on. He's beating CNN in his time slot pretty often these days. Being up against Paula Zahn probably helps. And he's gained significant ground on O'Reilly in the 25-54 demographic.

This is what I get for playing Titan's Quest: Immortal Throne all day and not paying attention to anything else...
In any case, this is naught but a mistake, an average human mistake, if amusing. All it shows is that the media are no different from anyone else.

This is what I get for playing Titan's Quest: Immortal Throne all day and not paying attention to anything else...
In any case, this is naught but a mistake, an average human mistake, if amusing. All it shows is that the media are no different from anyone else.
