I just live my life one and you can live yours however you want. The reason for this post is because I dont understand why people oppress other people... its confusing. I hate only those things that disturb my tranquility and joy. Other than that, I don't give two shits.

Sure I get hated on for being a vegetarian. I get shit for being bisexual. As a child I was mostly hated because I was extreemly skinny, wore thick glasses and was an ethnic minority in my neighborhood.

Yes, but one man invasions tend not to work well.

I can sort of relate to this, because I don't use alcohol - making me a minority here in the UK.
I do however use other drugs - caffeine mostly, but also painkillers when required to deal with migraines (which I don't get so often since I stopped drinking), and occasionally some minor tranquilisers. Nothing illegal though.
People do however find it hard to believe that I don't drink, mainly because I used to drink quite regularly up until about 2 years ago.

But in my experience, people who say they use no drugs at all are usually lying.

If you are one of those people, I have a few questions for you:

If you have a headache or you injure yourself, do you take painkillers?

Do you eat chocolate?

Do you drink tea / coffee / energy drinks?

If you have allergies, do you take antihistamines?

If you have asthma, do you use a ventolin inhaler?

If you go to hospital, do you willingly consent to being given drugs if required?

If you answered "yes" to any of the above, then you take drugs. Yes, these are all legal, and most are used for bona fide medical reasons. But they are still drugs, and they still have an effect on the body and the mind.

What you probably mean though is that you don't use "illegal" drugs. But so what? Most illegal drugs are not illegal because they are dangerous. Precisely the opposite in fact - they are dangerous because they are illegal - and hence exist only on the black market, which has no quality control.

Why trust one drug, but not the other? That's politics, not medicine.

Well since he mentioned alcohol and tobacco, which are both legal, I imagine that he means that he doesn't take drugs recreationally. I agree with you about the caffine/energy drinks though.

If it's bad enough. I try an alternative way sometimes to relieve headaches that doesn't involve drugs (yes, I learned it from a kooky Vietnanese guy on the show "Survivor," but it works like a charm.)

Why yes, yes I do. Probably shouldn't, and am gradually giving up junk food, but I have to indulge in something.

No, no, and rarely. Caffeine in soda is about all I do, and I am even cutting that out.

Nope. I just suffer. I am mildly allergic to cats and dogs, and predictably, I have both, but I live with it.

Depends on the drugs and the situation. Never been in that siutuation before.

If you want to get technical, a "drug" is anything that has any kind of effect on the body. Table salt is a drug. Vitamins could even be considered drugs. Mincing words about someone saying "I don't take drugs" is like mincing words when someone says "I don't drink." You know what they mean, but just to be aggravating, you could accuse the aforementioned non-drinker of refusing to imbibe even water just to make them admit that they do, in fact, "drink." And what does that accomplish? Not a damn thing.

Frankly, a lot of drinkers I know have the attitude that everyone drinks alcohol. I had that crammed down my throat by my parents as well as other people. I have frequently been the only one in a crowd not drinking alcohol. I was even the only one in a crowd once who was not smoking marijuana. It affects my behavior, not the company I keep. I will hang with people who don't have a problem with the fact that I do not smoke, drink alcohol, or use hard drugs, and that I don't have casual sex (well, I better not; I am, after all, married. If I wanted to be really strict, I would abstain until I was ready to have children, but considering the low rate of people who wait for marriage, I can't imagine who actually waits to have children for sex.)

It's about time we started turning the tide against alcohol. It worked for cigarettes; people who wanted to minimize smoking have done it. Everyone smoked 50 years ago; now smoking is banned in restaurants in several states, and the price of cigarettes is through the roof. Give it time, and non-drinkers can do the same.

The best thing for you to do would be to stop whining. Nothing is more grating than the annoying whining and bawling of children.

Its quite simple:

When your life is shit, its easier to blame others than yourself.

That is why usually the poor, the ignorant, the unemployed, the sick, the ugly and the bad are racists, fascists, and radicals.

Instead of looking at their own situation they blame others.

For example, a guy may lose his job because he is uneducated and he blames it on "the damn imigrants are stealing my jobs".
