More clashes in the Gaza Strip and people think that power sharing is going to work. I was hoping it would but then, my hopes were never high to begin with because I am a realist.

Maybe before we settle the Palestinian/Israeli dispute, we should end the dispute between the Palestinian groups. Then we can work on the Mid East peace process.

I have suggested many a solution to relieve tensions in the mideast, but they keep getting shot down. For instance, my plan to drop one million water balloons from low flying C-130s onto Gaza was called 'insane'.

As if sane proposals are working.

Has anyone else noticed that civil war loomed shortly after Israel erected the security fence, and pulled out of Gaza?

One might suggest that the Palestinians just want to be violent, and if Jewish targets are unavailable, Arab targets will do just as well.

The biggest obstacle to peace is the Palestinian leaders, the basis for their power is the war. In peace, these gangs have nothing to offer.

Actually it loomed after a party with an armed wing won an election over another party with an armed wing, where there are no impartial "state" forces. Its not helped by the US openly giving arms to Fatah/PLO to enable them to suppress Hamas.

So it's just the terrorists killing each other, right? No civilians involved? Seems like a splendid development to me. Congratulations to the Palestinians.

It shows that the walls are working.

Fence the Palestinians in, and they immediately set to killing one another.

Funny, the people trapped in Berlin occasionally tried to get out - and didn't bother (in general) with trying to kill one another.

Go figure.

Oh, and throwing a few weapons inside the wall to enable them to get on with it quicker is a good idea.

Maybe after a few generations, the idiots who prefer violence as a means of political advancement will have died without reproducing.
