Hot. Burning, even.

Okay. So the other night, I may have gotten a dozen suicide wings from a place called Wing It. I managed to plow through 8 of them then, and saved the rest for...well, now, I guess.

Now I love hot food. I'm the kid who will take a bite of wasabi and be fine. Me and my father had a competition to see who could eat the hottest thing without wishing for death. We both sadly had to stop at the habanero pepper because we couldn't find anything hotter.

And yet, these are hotter. I (when sober) can't usually finish more than 6. I start to sweat, tear up, and feel it burning from my mouth through my stomach (and the next morning...yeah...) They are hot enough that I can't smell them without choughing. And go figure, I love them.

So what about you? Do you like hot food? what is the hottest thing you have ever eaten?

oh, and never take out your contacts after eating wings. :(

I really only use spicy sauce of seasoning as a supplement to the flavor, not to overpower the flavor.

Well,... have you taste these yet?

Bird's eye chilli, small and green, looks very harmless but packs quite a punch, sorta like small firecracker that goes off in your mouth.

Well actually, if you live where I do, hot/spicy foods are pretty much de rigeur.

I put Habanero sauce on just about anything. I like it on toast or crackers with sour cream. And on eggs.

That's why I keep getting these wings. They are damn hot, but still have a great smoky taste

Vindaloo.

I can never understand why people think Mexican food is hot.

I passionately love hot food. I can enter a trance-like state of wordless consumption with a full basket of buffalo wings and some good sauce.

Habaneros are only around 200,000 to 300,000 Scoville units.
You want something hot try The Source (http://tastethepain.com/shopsite_sc/store/html/product206.html) it's 7.1 Million Scoville units. Thats 23 and 2/3 times hotter.
One tiny bottle costs $110 and has it own disclaimer.
What fun but now I want to get some. :(

The local Teriyaki places will do really spicy Teriyaki, if you ask right. I'm sure I could find hotter, but I'd still bet that most people couldn't even handle the 5-star stuff there, let alone the stuff that we (we being my friends who enjoy trying to make it spicier) add chili-sauce to.

I only hate hot when I'm not expecting it.

A word to the wise: Never eat too much of it too late, and milk products are recommended chasers.

skip the pain later. Get Orange Cream Extra Strength Tumshttp://www.google.com/product_image?q=http://a1061.g.akamai.net/7/1061/5412/home/www.walgreens.com/dbimagecache/252728.jpg&size=2&dhm=c50d775a&hl=en

Chase with beer. The tums will cool your tongue and help your stomach deal with the spice. Alcohol (or fats, like in milk) will help pull the heat from your mouth.

Never drink water. It will only move the burning, or isolate it.

i'm a bit of an odd mix with spicy food. on the one hand i really like spice and can crave spicy things, but on the other if i'm out for a curry or something i usually go for flavours i'll enjoy rather than "how hot can i go" things.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scoville_scale#List_of_Scoville_ratings is of course interesting, though i'm more than certainly in the bottom half of that scale

I had habanaro chips once, they were good, but with gut rot like drinking straight whiskey.

My flatmate has yet to find anywhere in Britain that will serve him hot enough food. So he cooks it himself. And gets me to eat it. OW.

Another little tip : Don't take a pee standing up after eating wings. My brother assures me the pain is excruciating.
