Well, there is a very interesting case that has just been heard in the Privy Council recently - the David Bain case. In brief, the Bain family, except for David, was murdered in 1995; the prosecution has suggested that it was David that murdered his family, while the defence has claimed it was David's father. Here is some more background if you want to look at it

The question is - do you think David Bain is innocent?

Has he been proven guilty? If no, then yes, he is innocent.

He was proven guilty in the mid-1990s by a jury, and this conviction was upheld by every single appeal court in New Zealand, however, the Privy Council (our old last court of appeal) has recently quashed the convictions. Whatever the jury believed, this case is still extremely controversial in New Zealand

David Bain's father supposidly had a full bladder when he died, so the question remains:

If you were going to get up early in the morning to kill your family and yourself while your son was out on a paper round, would you take a piss first if you needed to go?

If yes, Bain is guilty.
If no, his father is.

From the information I've seen, I believe so. I have grave misgivings about the Peter Ellis case as well, though it remains to be seen if that too will ever be put to bed.
