Really now, I noticed that some of the members over here in nationstates are really involved in what they're doing...yes, it is fun, it is...utopic...what's the borderline between playing and taking it seriously?

If you're on general, most of the people don't even play the game. I'm not sure about the rpers though, not much is known about the rp society, although I heard that they don't have anus's.

I haven't dealt with an issue in months, and that is the way the game is meant to be played. Those emo-kids over at RP are just creepy.

the closest i've got to the whole RPing shit is the recent generalite lead expulsion of fascists from the DCS region. prior to that i've only kept my nations alive in order to carry on posting on general. i don't have any inclination to get more involved in the RP side of things.

I keep up with the issues of my nation (usually anyway) but that is as far as I ever take it.

Role play scares the fuck out of me. It's only two letters short of LARP and, frankly, that's too close for my comfort. I've not ventured inside that forum since the first time and have no plans to. Possibly the only role playing I've done on here was a bit of dicking around a couple of years back with a group called the Reject Royalty, and that was only developed to have a pop at another thread :p

i've never roleplayed once i think, or maybe in the beginning, but i can't (ant won't!) remember.

I like trying to change my nation to different government types. For example, I made an aim of changing from New York Times democracy to Democratic socialists.

As long as it doesn't spill over into General they can do whatever they wish in their own little world.

I tried role playing but meh, reading long streams of text puts me off, plus I can never really get involved in it

I did, but it was just the one about gay sex that I keep by my bed for emergency reading in case I have that dream about Eric Bana again.

I took the issues seriously until the same lame issues reapeted themselves over and over and over again. Then I got tired of it and discovered that there was a forum.

I've had nations on this game since the beggining (yeah, I'm not really a n00b), and not once have I ever even tried to get into that RPing shit. I do my issues and that's it. I can remember this thing they used to have on NSG, way before the move to the Jolt servers called "The Volcano" where people would RP a night club. It was super-dumb. I'm glad to see alot of that stupid shit is done with.
