Social Distortion came through my town last night, and we had an absolute blast. Just bought my tickets for Rush in Vegas...anyone else seeing any good bands this year?

No; I'd like to, but I haven't seen anyone touring that I'd particularly want to see, and, even if I do, cash flow issues would probably prevent it anyway.

I really really really really want to go to Reading. And Download Festival. It'd be AWESOME. But, I can't afford it. Poosticks.

65daysofstatic this Saturday, Isis on the 22nd, and Converge on July 4th. That's all I've got lined up at the moment, but I'm sure I'll be adding to that.

Well, my Dad bought tickets to a Lionel Richie concert in July (I had to get up really early to frantically book them online because he's useless with computers, only to discover that I was probably like the third person to buy tickets!) but no, there doesn't seem to be anything on that would interest someone who isn't obsessed with artists from bygone days.

I understand "Weird Al" Yankovic plays at Kings Island every year. I should get up there to see him. That will be my version of a hot concert. :)

My family and I saw him a long time ago in Vancouver. It was a spectacular show! Definitely go see it!

Are Rush going to play this year in the Houston area? If so, I'll make a hell of an attempt to see them. I'm hoping I'll be able to.

Kidding aside, it's a hell of a venue, and a great location overall... Though I hope it's not too humid.

I am going to Lollapalooza to see Daft Punk, Muse, Interpol, Regina Spektor and about 7 other bands I like. I am looking forward to that.

I certainly hope to be able to see him. Kings Island is only 15 min away so it is nice and convenient as well. :)


Now to put aside the $60 some odd dollars to enter the park so I can see the show...

Leeds Festival, 5th year running now even if the line-up's a bit shit. Last band I saw was Kings of Leon, a surprisingly good gig for a band I'm indifferent towards.

Gonna see Epica, Nightwish, Kamelot, Symphony X, and Bad Religion this summer.

Not counting local acts...I've already seen Tool, Muse, the Butterfly Effect, Eric Clapton, Converge, Mastodon, Slayer, Boris and SunnO))) this year. Coming up in the next month are the Black Keys and Clutch. There will undoubtedly be more.

I saw Type O Negative on May 4 at the Masquerade in Atlanta. It could only be described as an orgasm for the ears. An eargasm, if you will.

I hope to go see Tool at Summerfest in Milwaukee...aside from that, no plans.

That could change though...depends on who comes through the area.

I hate to double-post, but I'm wondering if anyone else has even heard of Summerfest. I never hear anything about it outside of local media outlets.

It's billed as "The World's Largest Music Festival", and they have one hell of a lineup...

June 28th through July 8th one has the option of going to see...

The Electric Gardens featuring the Happy Mondays and now my friends band! Their biggest gig ever so I'll get into that for free and meet the Happy Mondays.

There are a ton of shows going on in London, just need to decide who to see. Maybe Maximo Park or Klaxons.
