it's good. I get annoyed when people compare it to some of the other "medical" shows.

"I don't like House, Scrubs is better"
"I don't like Grey's Anatomy, Scrubs is better"

it's idiocy. Scrubs is a comedy.....and while House can be funny, it's not a comedy......and Grey's Anatomy is almost never funny unless you enjoy dramatic irony, but it's still not a comedy.

It's like comparing.......well, I can't think of anything that it's like comparing.

One show out of six or seven seasons of cheesy mush?

I haven’t seen the episode in question, but it probably ended with Zach Braff monologuing in a middle-of-the-road way about cancer, with on-screen characters moving around in slow motion, with a sad look on their faces.

First, a salute.

Then, hey, the age-wise target-audience for Scrubs can still have been raised on Dad's Army!

Anyway, I don't know, I like Scrubs, but I won't try to deny that it is frequently hurt by cheese of the highest order, and that ZB can be quite the irritating little so and so.

I don't understand why people watch Bones, House, and so on and so forth. If they're not funny, but they're on television, I must be missing the point, because it's not like they can be called high-brow, educational, or anything like that. I'm not sure what on earth they offer. I'd rather either have a giggle, or... not watch television.

Yick! No, I hate that show, but I guess my comment was a little inclear... I'm running on 4 hours of sleep. I haven't read the novels, so I can't give an opinion there, but the show... it's just riding on the current (dwindling) popularity of cop/medical dramas with very flat, unrealistic characters. I mean, I understand it's just fiction, but that doesn't mean you can't put a little thought and effort into making good, thoughtful scripts.

I remember watching the first series and thinking that it just could not be an American show...it was just too funny.

Then I watched the 2nd series and thought...ok...really this is a bit of a rehash of the first series and really not as funny...then it just got repetitive and slightly boring. It still gets a chuckle on the occasions I have seen the later shows I will admit.

One thing I do like and I tip my hat is the recurring theme of JD and the Janitor...brilliant. Those exchanges are just brilliant....

Meh. But these things -Grey's this and whatever that- don't seem, to me, to offer much. They're not funny, but they don't offer me much in the way of education, either. I can't have sex with them, they don't get me drunk, they don't make me smarter, they don't make me laugh, they don't make me think about something new, it's strange. I'm normally quite easily pleased in life, but television that doesn't offer a chuckle -unless it's a very rare piece of creative genius or artistic beauty- just leaves me cold.

I'm pretty sure that I can't be alone in feeling like that -or anything else- but perhaps it's a rarer attribute than I'd imagined!

Well, at least this has made me think.
