Celebrity heiress Paris Hilton is backing an online petition seeking a pardon of her 45-day prison sentence because she enlivens "mundane" lives.

Personally, I've never felt that she has 'enlivened' my 'mundane' life.

If her appeal is rejected, then she should serve the sentence she has been given. It would be completely wrong to pardon her, and I hope that Schwarzenegger recognises this.

If your life is livened by Paris Hilton then mudane is a massive understatement.

Punitive justice grates enough on my nerves as it is. If this evasion of punishment by popular demand is successful then I will thus declare it officially dead.

My marginally rational side thinks it's a pointless waste of time and money to throw her in prison. It's what prison sentences usually are, and it's not like rich retards like her are so dangerous they have to be caged.

I feel really sorry for the people who actually consider Paris Hilton a role model.

So basically her appeal is: "I'm a celebrity, so you should let me off."

I can't help but wonder what Paris' father thinks of all his daughter's stupidity. I'd have her shot, she's an embarrassment to humanity, god help her family.

Personally I would like to see a petition to increase her sentence as it is plain she has no regard for taking responsibility of her situation regards her law breaking.
