What is it with religious representatives and peodophillia.

This church is just around the corner from where I live.
Every week there are more stories from around the world with preists and vicars arrested/allegations of cover ups/people coming forward and admitting that they were touched by one of these monsters.
Is there something inherant within the clergy that makes the want to interfere with chidren?
Are they confusing GodBothering with Kiddyfiddling?
