Deadliest Catch

My sister recently introduced me to this show, and now it's one of my favorites. I never realized how lucrative crab fishing could be. Does anyone else watch? What do you think?

Edit: For those of you who have no idea, try Here. (www.discovery.com/deadliestcatch)

Aw, that's no fun...no risk to life or limb. :(

i was really disappointed with the concept of the programme. when i first heard of it i thought it was the catch itself that would be deadly (something exciting like a shark) but as it is it's just the weather. i already knew storms and high seas were dangerous. the crab changes nothing. in fact i can't think of a more boring catch.

Pff...inner city kids around here crab fish in the middle of the night and no one films them. (seriously, I was hanging out at the pier when a bunch of kids showed up with a crab net and started tossing it in. They didn't get any. It was odd. Interesting show, though)

They'd probably film it if they could add the dramatic soundtrack and Mike Rowe as narrator...

"Two o'clock in the morning and it's a crisp 62 degrees at San Francisco's Pier 39..." doesn't have the same ring...

It does if they play shitty Bon Jovi songs over a dramatic collage of scene clips and have Mike Rowe narrate it.

15 minutes until it's on here in CT. What's your favorite boat/captain, Morganatron?

Mine is a tie between the Northwestern (with Sig Hansen as captain), and the Corneliu Marie (with Phil Harris as captain).

Definitely Phil...if only for getting his son to pull a tooth out with pliers...and having welded that Maverick pot shut...
