No way. I hate it when them damn punk kids go bustin' up my Jack-o-Lanterns on Hallowe'en night. Ungrateful candy-eatin' lil' bastards.
*and no more candy for the ones callin' themselves "serial killers", comin' 'round with no costume an' all...

They had a few songs I still like. Saw them live at one of the lalapaloozas. The friend who took us there bought some 'acid' in the parking lot (yes, very stupid-- we were all stupid), but luckly it was not bad. Wasn't good either, but can't complain about that. As for the year.. I remember the beastie boys, tribe called quest and george clinton being there too. I think it was 1994....
They are weird, but not strange.

I'd appreciate them a lot more if they were grammatically correct. They're called articles, Corgan, and you better goddamned well start using them.
If NS had a music forum it would dissolve into mindless trolling and mini wars between the fans of different genres.

So the only thing that would change would be the topics? :)

No, just the name of the forum.
I liked them up to point where their albums went softcore and they started experimenting with electro-poppy stuff. A couple of good songs from that period but nothing on the earlier stuff. And I don't really like Billy Corgan much.
Still one of the best bands of the 90s though.

Corgan is an asshole, and if I never see him again, then my life will be happy.

Pumpkins are perfectly throwable without being converted into pie form.

"Smashing" in this case is possibly the present participle of the verb "to smash", in which case the definite article is not required. As in, "we're smashing pumpkins", referring to the act of smashing pumpkins.
The alternative is that it's being used as an adjective, as in "them's some smashing pumpkins you've got, our Bertha," or "look, smashing pumpkins [pumpkins that are in the process of being smashed]", in which case the definite article is required. But there is at least some doubt. Corgan has a loophole.
