what with NS being the serious mature place that it is I think its time we made a thread to discuss children's T.V, now being mature individuals we won't get too excited over postman pat and such so what I'm saying is:
post your fave children's program/one you like when you was young :p
mine is always pingu (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oTWv63RyLP8) because it has absolutely no educational value (I think I see a pattern emerging)

He died back in 2k3. A lot of my friends and I were pretty upset about it.
Eureeka's Castle, Magellan was awesome.
He was the dragon, yes? I vaguely remember loving that show, but I can't for the life of me remember much about it.
Oh, and how can I forget: Muppet Babies.
YEA, I loved Power Rangers...I used to be a big Barney fan too, and all of those old classic 90's Marvel Comics cartoons...Spiderman, X-Men, Silver Surfer...Barney... that damn purple dino!!! Damn him!!!! I loved the big fella, Even if he was a bit pedo-like and spooky at times.
Let's see...I watched "Blue Peter" as a little kid, and "Sharon, Lois, and Bram" before that. As a young teen, I watched "Are You Afraid of the Dark?," "Clarissa Explains It All," and "Alex Mack." My boyfriend has a stupid crush on Alex Mack. :P

Sharon, Lois, and Bram...I vaguely remember that show. I think it may have been cancelled off of Nickelodeon when I was like 4 or 5, so I don't remember the details much.
Man...I'm getting nostalgic.
I'll say. That's about the same time I was reading those Goosebumps books at summer camp, scary as shit also.I actually got so addicted to those books my mom wouldn't buy me any more of them.

I got them from the library cause I was a volunteer there. Sneaky, huh? Heck, I earned those Goosebumps nightmares after spending hours and hours shelving books and getting a headache from the old musty air. Blech! I like libraries a lot more now that I don't have to work in them.

They were all I read, I pretty much refused everything else.

Thanks! It's even more flattering to be told that by a guy who's giving me a back massage. *happy*
Fraggle Rock. Henson was a bloody genius.
Hey, I have the theme song for that on my winamp!
I remember this awesome awesome show from when I was young, but I've never met anybody else who remembers it.
It was basically this wee kid, and he had (I think) a book. And (I think) that this magic bird lived in it/came out of it. It looked like a sand coloured ostrich, and had rainbow coloured socks, as far as I remember.
It sort of did wishes and stuff.
Really good show. Can't remember its name.
Ghost Writers. Ah yes, the Hispanic guy on that show ended up on the Real World as the flamboyantly gay one.
Thanks! It's even more flattering to be told that by a guy who's giving me a back massage. *happy*

Your thinking of Figure it Out. They would chose a secret phrase or action and when the contestent(s) did them they would get slimed. Sometimes all sometimes only one.

Does The Price Is Right count as childrens TV if your babysitter always watched it?
Some were Battletech, Transformers, Gargoyles, Captain Simian and the Space Monkeys, and much (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nRdj6vImF8E) much (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HPdSD7gca64) more (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mGEgpiN5k78). Every Saturday, cartoons occupied the first 5 hours of my day when I was little.
I forgot agian!

I never saw much television as a kid. My parents didn't have one.
This reminds me, a while back, some asshole on ytmnd started a trend of using an extremely catching and equally as annoying Lazy Town song. I couldn't get it out of my head for a full day.
I'd say that there definitely needs to be more violence on children's TV, though.
