So I'm right in the thick of final exams. (yes, I am putting off needed studying to post this). Anyone else in similar straits?

Oh, I also thought it would be fun to find out what your favorite class is (was), what you are studying (or what you did study), and what you plan to do with your life.

For me, my favorite class is Military Force in International Relations. Very informative analysis of American interventions.

I'm majoring in Foreign Affairs (IR), and plan on joining the Air Force after college (currently ROTC). After that, who knows...State Department perhaps. Ambassador? Secretary? Assistant to the Undersecretary to the Secretary of the Bureau of Bureaucracy Reduction? Stay at home dad? I guess I'll just see where life takes me.

Anyone else?

Just remember, Final Exam people;

If you start to understand how Cho Seung-Hui felt, it might be time for a stress relieving activity.

Try paintball. You get to shoot people and nobody gets upset. :)

AP Exams are coming up. The US History one is the first one I'll take this year, and it's on Friday.

I'm planning on majoring in chemistry when I go to college...but I'm still a junior, so there's another year of highschool after this one for me.

I don't have finals for a bit. I'm up for AP exams. I took US Gov today and I'll be taking Calc AB and English Lit this week. Choosing my favorite class is hard, I love all of them this year. I suppose my choices would be either Gov or Computer Programming II, maybe English.

I'm just recovering from my final exams. I've spent the last week drooling on myself while lazing about in the rain. And sun. And rain again. And a little sleet for a few hours.

I'd rather not think about the last 8 months. It was tougher than I thought it was going to be. The classwork was fine, bearable, not all that strenuous. It was the royal mind fuck that law school seems to REALLY be about that was hardest.

Ok, ok, the classes I really enjoyed? Contracts and property law. Go figure.

I have exams at the end of the month, but am only a first year so they are not all that important, and I don't generally get too stressed about exams. Favourite class? Dunno, perhaps musical analysis, or one of the harmony papers.

Have French tomorrow, then Physics, History and Modern Studies in the next two weeks. I'm sitting all of these exams at the highest level (Credit).

So I'm right in the thick of final exams. (yes, I am putting off needed studying to post this). Anyone else in similar straits?

For the first time since I was 5 years old, I DO NOT HAVE EXAMS AT THIS TIME OF YEAR.

Oh. Mah. Gawd.

I took my Quals (qualification examinations) last June. Since I passed, I am officially finished with required course work and examinations for the remainder of my graduate training.

It's actually kind of...spooky. I don't know what to do with myself in May and June. The weather is all nice outside, but I'm not restricted to staring at it through the windows of the library study room. I'm losing my pasty complexion. My eyes are starting to adjust to natural light. I discovered that I might be allergic to early summer flowers. The writer's callus I've had on my third finger since I was 9 years old is starting to fade away.

I'm scared. Hold me.

I took my only AP test yesterday, and that was Gov (which was easier than the practice tests I took, so I'm sure I got a 5) and I have 2 substantive finals to take in early June, then I'm out of High School. Of course, High School finals are nothing like College finals, I'm sure.

I think part of it was that I stopped being in school months ago in my mind. Also, when I do questions sometimes I'll get quite frustrated and it will hinder my problem solving capabilities. That open ended was a bastard. I struggled a bit on the non-calculator multiple choice, because I'm so used to using my calculator for everything; I have a great application that really helps. Yeah, I've been working my butt off for this exam. If I don't get a 5, I'm going to be VERY disappointed. Did you find the calculator part of the open-ended a bitch to solve too? The first question was fine, standard area/volume question, but the second and third had me going "WTF IS GOING ON?". The non-calculator part of the open-ended was actually very easy for me, though Kiryu told me he found that half harder. You kids getting American math education should learn to survive without calculators. My calculus class is no graphing calculator on tests whatsoever. We had to do an emergency tutorial last week on HOW to use the calculator to take integrations last week. :p

I just have to pop in and dance around a little...just got the bulk of my marks back. I don't know how I freakin' pulled it off, but I kicked ASS on my exams. I honestly thought I'd failed my Constitutional exam...I was so wiped at that point that I just could not remember case names, even though I had the various Charter tests down, and I'm fairly sure I was just babbling at one point. Nonetheless, I beat out the rest of my study group who I was certain all knew their stuff better than I. In any case...I've got two kids, community commitments, a mostly absent husband, and no spare time to speak of and I STILL got As and B+s. So yeah. I bow to the superior-ness of Canadian education. Although I woulda gotten a five if I had stayed at my old school, if I hadn't killed myself/anyone else by now. I'm hoping for a four. Eh. Well, I have a teacher that wild and cracks sex jokes whenever she's able to, even during people's speeches to lighten up the mood. I just remember that throughout the whole semester, I'll only be spending about 15 minutes up in front of the class speaking. We also do some meditation right before the speech day to relieve anxiety. Most important of all, my instructor reminded us that the audience doesn't really care about your speech because they're too busy worrying about their own.

I should change that to acing freakin BC calc in 9th grade. Gross.

I wil get a 95+ in any final that I might take this year. Without studying. Although they accomplish nothing except point out the startling and gross difference between education provided to kids based on where they live and what kind of family they come from. They won't even help my grade cause I'm already acing the courses (without doing any work(except for calc)).

Yep, like when we had to pretend we were doing a commercial. Half the class started out with sexual innuendo. I think one girl started it with "What's 7 inches long, 2 inches wide and makes a girl go crazy?.....chocolate of course you sickos!!":p

Personal stories relating to sex helped also. On our first day of class, our instructor was telling us how the other day she was having a debate with her friend about whether a woman could have I think an internal orgasm. She told her that it was possible because she just had one last night. Her husband was in the room and started to grunt so that everyone in the room would know that he was the guy.

I can easily get 90%+ on all of my finals without studying as well. It's just that I kind of want the $2000 offered if you do really well on your exams, and the extra $1000 they give you for each 100% you get.

Hahaha. I love the first joke. It's hilarious! Speaking of which...somebody should start a new joke thread...*ponders*

I hate you. I died today. The last essay topic wasn't bad, but that last poem on the MC was brutal. I had no clue what I was doing!

I'm finishing off my A2s this month. Need an AAB to get into Uni - Eek!

Thank you. Someone who feels the same way. The second to last passage was SUCH a piece of cake. I couldn't believe I was reading it at first, or that there are two pages of questions about it. :p

Yeah, that last one had me going "WTF?" the entire time. It was...interesting. I loved the last essay topic though. I didn't even have to bullshit to write for it. :p

Yeah, I read the second to last one first. Which book/play did you use for the open one?

The Count of Monte Cristo. It was begging to be used with that topic.

I LOVED that book. It's quite unfortunate that my memory is terrible and I don't remember a lot of it (it was three years ago when I read it). I used "Death of a Salesman" because I actually read it and remembered it. I barely read anything in the past four years.

I just had my public speaking and calculus 2 midterm today. I did pretty good on my speech. My instructor said that I've improved alot over the semester. As for calculus, I barely knew anything and I had to cram right before the exam. I don't think I've ever learned so much math within 4 hours. The test was exhausting. I think I'm gonna take a nap for half an hour before I start stuffing myself with food.

Ooooo, Death of a Salesman WOULD be really good, except we didn't really go into detail studying it in English class, and I pretty much gobbled up any analysis I could find on Count of Monte Cristo, so that became the obvious choice after I read the topic. I'm kind of sad that they didn't pick a topic fitting enough for using Pride and Prejudice. I would've loved to write on that book.

So, is this your last AP exam or do you have more to go?

Heh. Today is my last high school final ever (English, in about one hour - no, I'm not doing last minute studying, why do you ask?). Graduation is about eight to nine hours after that.

It's kind of frightening, really. Especially since I have to go back behind the Pine Curtain for three months.

I know Latin is going to be simple, and I can't imagine Allied Health being difficult. The only one that could be a problem would be Computer Programming. Let's just say I'm not the best at it.

On Monday I'm handing in all my work (that's yet to be completed :P). I'm studying Music. And then my degree will be over and I have to enter the real world *cries*

On the positive side, I don't have any exams. Just a great big file of compositions and recordings to hand in (ahh I don't pity the people who have to mark all this :D)

I've got the AP Chem exam this tuesday (Why God!? WHY!?), but Chemistry is my favorite subject. I figure I'll get a Masters of Science (Maybe a doctorate, though I don't think so) in some form of Chemistry, then my Law degree.

Gonna be a patent attorney. Mmmmmm.... Interesting and profitable!

The chem AP test wasn't so bad. I got a 4 and I didn't even try that hard throughout the year. Now music theory AP on the other hand....
