I'm guessing the high scientology score is due to the liberal stances are social issues (Which the Church of Scientology holds)
I basically couldn't be anything other then an Athiest, to be honest. I've had something that some would describe as a revelation (Sudden clarity of mind) but just wrote it off as another example of how interesting the human brain is.
I really am incapable of having faith in a religion.

See above for my explanation of this. Liberal views on social issues like a woman's right to choose and gay marriage is going to jack up your Scientology score.

My first one I didn't know and when you click on it it says "diverse beliefs" for almost everything. That seems like a proper religion...
It kind of seems surprising that Nontheist is so low. I do kind of have a spiritual side to me even though I'm strictly atheist. No matter how much disdain I have for religion, I prefer the gates being pearl to gold any day.
I noticed no one ever scored for animism. Yeah, think about that.
Good point. I also noticed there's no Satanism. I usually get that behind Buddhism when I do this sort of test. I've never seen animism in such a test though. I might actually get that higher. I never could know til I did it.

no, you're just being a troll. I checked your profile. I know you could have given false results to try and get some specific result. Some people do that with certain quizzes.

Usually when I take this test, Neo-Pagan comes up #1, but not today. Oh well, since I'm not neo-pagan, I suppose that's OK. I just wish they could come up with a better label than "New Age" to describe what I believe in, since I'm totally not into the whole crystal-power thing.

Secular humanism
• Belief in Deity
Not considered important. Most Humanists are atheists or agnostics.
• Incarnations
Same as above.
• Origin of Universe and Life
The scientific method is most respected as the means for revealing the mysteries of the origins of the universe and life.
• After Death
An afterlife or spiritual existence after death is not recognized.
• Why Evil?
No concept of “evil.” Reasons for wrongdoing are explored through scientific methods, e.g. through study of sociology, psychology, criminology.
• Salvation
No concept of afterlife or spiritual liberation or salvation. Realizing ones personal potential and working for the betterment of humanity through ethical consciousness and social works are considered paramount, but from a naturalistic rather than supernatural standpoint.
• Undeserved Suffering
No spiritual reasons but rather a matter of human vulnerability to misfortune, illness, and victimization.
• Contemporary Issues
The American Humanist Association endorses elective abortion. Other contemporary views include working for equality for homosexuals, gender equality, a secular approach to divorce and remarriage, working to end poverty, promoting peace and nonviolence, and environmental protection.

Wtf is Jainism?
It's an Indian religion, very old, with a very strong tendency towards non-violence. I had a friend who was a Jain, it took him some time to come to grips with his upbringing (bad rebellious teen years and all that), but he's been gentle as a kitten the last ten or twelve years...
The folks you see sweeping the ground in front of them so they don't accidentally kill insects are Jainists.
All life is sacred and no one has any right to end any life.

I guess they just ask for forgiveness since they can't do anything else.
In art class I told my friend how I came out neo-pagan the first few times I took it, he got a good laugh out of it. Then the girl next to me started shouting at me for not believing in Jesus

What's your actual religion/lack of religion?
I wuz raised Unitarian but after I took the "building your own theology" program in RE, I realized I didn't need a community to bolster my beliefs and promptly dropped out. After that, I hung out with the SubGeniuses for a time... dallied with the various types of Pagans lurking here and there... actually had some amazing experiences involving the archetypes of Prometheus and Loki (at the same time) and once, just once, found myself psychically "peering over the shoulder" of some sort of higher life form who was duly proud of whatever it was busying itself with on it's workbench - something to do with stellar nurseries and electromagnetic fields. I dunno if it was God, but I knew on a fundamental level that I was, for a brief moment, privvy to something truly remarkable.
For the last few years I've thought of myself as somewhat of a spiritual free-agent, as I make a point of not subscribing to any sort of organized ritual or religion. I'm not an atheist, though - in fact, I have a very deep, very personal relationship with what most people'd consider to be 'God' - as it should be.
As some of you may recall from previous threads on spirituality, there's no room in my relationship with God for those who would seek to interpose themselves between the two of us - priests, ministers, rabbis, imams, gurus, et cetera. My sense is that we're all equidistant from our Creator, however you may wish to express it. Middlemen or those who would claim to speak on God's behalf are as welcome in my life as a pubic louse.
And honestly, I can't think of anything as rude as say, proselytizing on behalf of an off-the-rack, cookie-cutter sensibility that seeks to emplace a hierarchical structure between myself and that which I venerate.
Colour me UU. I do it every time I take the damn test...
