I was hoping to get an update on some of the meetups around the world (seem to be mostly in western europe, but you get the point).. How did the meetups go?? Any new hookups, stories, pics?? (sorry, I am bored, and have to live vicariously through everyone else).

I'm sure a quick search would find you the threads relating to the four UK meetups that have been held so far.

That would actually be really great. I live right outside it, plus I'm going to college in the city in either August or June (hopefully June, I wanna get into the summer program).

Well, I did a Baltimore meetup (in America, East Coast) and we had one guy show up (Laerod) and it was awesome! I can't wait to do it again. :cool:

University of the Sciences in Philadelphia. I'm going for Pharmacy, but I plan to double major with Biochemistry and minor in Forensic Science if I can. My friend is going to the Art Institute. And that meet up sounds great if we get it together.

The NSers I'd like to meet all live so damn far away. Sumamba and I were discussing once what we'd do if either of us won the lottery...have a serious NS meet-up somewhere decadent and tropical, with a nice padded room for frolicking were the mood to hit anyone :D

Well things got a little more sexually liberated around here for a while...and then the clampdown forced us to romance one another less publicly. It's much less fun that way.

OK, that's reasonably close to the Waterbury, CT location I'm working at, provided all the logistic variables can be worked out.

Like I said, I have most weekends off during my summer employment. The first and second weekends of August, IIRC, are included.

Well, since I don't have a car, I'll either have to hope I get that job this summer, and that it pays enough so I can afford a really long cab ride, or that the NE US meet gets moved to Maine.

Part of the reason for my sporadic attendance is the attempt to pick up a few other things for $ of late ... and with some luck i'll have a few comfy bucks before the end of the year.

Actually, bus from NYC to Maine is pretty cheap, especially if you use the crappy chinese buses from Boston to NYC.

Unless it's a regional commuter rail line, bus is usually cheaper.

So does anybody have good information on connecting commuter lines/buses in the NYC area? I think that'll help more than just me and Maineacs.
