Just thought I'd share. Do any southerners among us ever see shapes in the kudzu?

hahaha, that's terrible.
you know, someday something will evolve a taste for kudzu, and whatever that is will utterly dominate the landscape for a few years. here's to hoping that whatever it is, it'll be cute at least.

No, it's a bush...

As far as I've heard, grazing livestock is the only thing that can actually destroy it.

I hate kudzu. It's everywhere!
And I've never noticed any weird shapes in it.

You know, I looked at that most of my life and I can't say I've ever thought of looking for shapes in it. I do remember a Cree fellow that used to work with my daddy used to say Kudzu was great for helping people with hangovers and a general addiction to alcohol. No idea if it's true or how it works, but it'd be an interesting "new" use for it.

So if everyone in the South got drunk, we could just give them all kudzu to help with the hangovers/addictions?
Good idea! I hate the kudzu! (I live in the Southern USA, btw)

Dude, do you know how many people down hre enjoy alchohol? :p
Anyway, I'm sure they'd like the kudzu idea. Kudzu is ugly. The South would be far more beautiful if it weren't for the kudzu.

Wasn't kudzu introduced to the US from Japan through some Exposition in the 1800s in Philadelphia? Philadelphia should pay to have the kudzu removed. Really, it would be remotely beneficial as they could turn it into feed for farms around the Northeast.

Quakers? I was talking about the Southern USA. There aren't any Quakers down here... but there are plenty of rednecks.

Ah. I thought you were referring to my stating PA can sell it as feed around the NE. That they could sell it there as a hangover cure as well. I see no reason why the north would care about the south's drinking problem. (I should note that I grew up in the Redneck Riviera aka northwest Florida aka LA or Lower Alabama where I got to spend every Mardi Gras hearing about how New Orleans stole it from Mobile. Good times. ;o))

I'm a Masshole. Anything south of Holland, Mass. and/or east of the Berkshires is none of my concern.

Holy crap, I knew that Kudzu was bad but those pictures are downright scary. It looks like it'd come creeping up to your front door overnight and just swallow your house whole.
There must be some way to destroy it. :/

All the time. And where that guy sees a horse ... that's definitely an elephant, man. Horses don't have dangling trunks.
