What (if anything) makes your skin crawl?

I had one today while at work (I work for the post office, delivering mail). While sorting the mail, I came across 3 Victoria's Secret catalogs heading to the retirement community/old folks home I deliver to sometimes. Now, I've delivered mail there enough to meet a lot of the people that live there, and the images (running around my head) at the idea that some of them are getting/ordering from those catalogs makes me ill.

One of the women there getting that catalog, looks like the Crypt Keeper (but not as good). One of the apartments that gets the Victoria's Secret catalogs is occupied by a single man of at least 70. Now, he's either fapping to the catalog (a disturbing image no doubt) or he wears Victoria's Secret merchandise (an even more disturbing image, but would explain why he walks funny). The third catalog was for a married couple, but I've never met them (they're new).

So, does anybody have anything like that, that makes their skin crawl?

Maggots. I just find them so utterly repulsive I can't stand them.

Most other things I'm okay with. Roaches, spiders, worms, slugs - don't bother me. Maggots do.

Insects of any sort, really. They're creepy, and I constantly try to keep them dead but they keep coming back, like some bizarre, 6-legged insect zombie horde. ._.

Zoophiles bother me to no end. I'm fairly liberal when it comes to sexual exploits, but forcing yourself upon an animal that at best has the cognizance of a three year old child? I'm not too up with the people on the receiving end of it, either. If the animals could say sure and understand what was going on, that's one thing, but they can't. Pedophiles are in the same group, really.

So I quite like wearing skirts when it's nice outside, but whenever I go downtown, I tend to pass this porno theatre and there are always 2-3 guys there who just stare at me in the creepiest possible manner...

Maggots make my skin crawl, but that's not it.

It's flying insects. It's not a crawl, it's an itch. All over.

Any mention or observation of genital injury.

Mention or observation of genitals, in my case. Unless I can completely detach myself from any thought of it, I think they're just disgusting. Or seeing people kiss or worse (in real life; in movies there's enough detachment that it doesn't gross me out as much.)

Also, whenever I see other people get hurt, I usually feel pain in that part of the body, so seeing or thinking about people getting hurt at all is another thing that bothers me.

Rats. I've held a constrictor, killed countless cockroaches, love spiders for their mosquito killing, hell, I've even had my hair lit on fire (by accident). None of these (except the hair) freaked me out (and the hair thing did not bother me nearly as much as seeing a rat). I'm not a squeamish lass. But for some reason, I hate hate rats and mice.

Also, overly friendly people on public transportation. Especially when they give the impression that they are high. I don't mind making small talk with strangers, giving directions, simple "hi, how are you?" type of crap. But when someone wants to know where I'm going, or what I'm doing with my day, well that sketches me out.

Also, I think you worry to much about old people subscribing to Victoria's Secret. For one thing, it's not like it's a paid subscription. You give them your address at the store, and they sign you up. The 70 year old could get it for his children or grandchildren, or he may have a little lady who likes to wear nice stuff. Hell, if he ever had a significant other, it could be left over from when they were alive, and he might just throw out the mags when they come, since its not like he's paying for them.

Also, VS sells some very cute clothes and PJs that are not at all risque, and yet they never get any credit for it.

To be completely honest, it doesn't seem as though they're trying to.

You win this thread.

Honestly, I'm one of the most laid back people in the world. For all the shit I went through growing up, very little bothers me. I have no phobias to speak of, I deal with stress better then anyone I know, and I'm the one emotional rock in my family. The one thing I cannot stand is abuse of any kind. This mainly comes from growing up in an abusive family, but child abuse, spousal abuse, stalking, rape, torture, murder or anything of the kind makes my blood boil! There is an old saying, "We only pity in others the evils we ourselves endure." I can empathize deeply with things like this, and it bothers me more then anything else.

There are sick people in this world - deeply disturbed individuals who basically hold everyone else at their mercy. Wolves among sheep. All too often I'd relish the thought of them getting the same as they give.

Spiders don't really freak me out (I'm used to them) but they will if they reach a certain size. I saw this one in the bushes by my house that was almost as big as my hand

I can't really say anything that makes my skin crawl, other than a particularly violent scene in a movie. Or that driver's ed video. :(

I'm not generally scared of bugs, but when I see a huge blow up picture of one in a book or magazine, I can't help but flinch.

I remember in biology class, we were watching a movie of a small dead animal being eaten by insects in fast motion. At first, there were lumps moving inside the animal and then its face collapsed and fell apart as the insects were eating it.

The thought of falling while near a body of water. I dunno, even seeing someone on tv running next to a pool makes my skin crawl involuntarily. Seeing someone fall in a shower is worse. Presumably I fell near a pool as a kid and that's the reason why, though I have no conscious memory of it.

EDIT: Oh, and centipedes. Fucking disgusting.

That scene in "Save the Green Planet" where the crazy guy wants to shove a metal dildo that shoots hot steam out its tip up the other guy's ass. Or the time he nails that guy to a board to keep him from escaping.
There was also the jar full of teeth. Damn creepy movie in all.

1. Proctologists, well more or less having something shoved up my ass. The thought of that freaks me out, but since I'm a white American male... *shivers*

2. Dressing. Laugh at me, call me names, I don't care. I honestly get disgusted whenever I smell or see people eating dressing on their salads. Honestly, it looks terrible, smells terrible, and then sometimes I have to wash people's plates who have been shoving this stuff into their bodies, and it's GROSS!!!

3. Harlequin fetuses. (Don't look it up, you'll regret it)
