Title says it all.

Of course, one has to have probably read The Silmarillion beforehand to have an opinion, but that is not necessarily true.

Poll forthcoming.

A hard decision...

...I'll go with Gondolin (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gondolin).

Nargothrond (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nargothrond) and Angband (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Angband_%28Middle-earth%29) are right up there though.

Pfft, Angband doesn't count as Beleriand. ;)
I went with Nargothrond, though.

Where is Belegost/Nogrod?

These two dwarven cities were actually in the Ered Luin, which separated Beleriand from Eriador. So, I don't think they can be called a part of Beleriand.

As for my vote, it goes to Gondolin, with Doriath a close second.

Actually, I forgot the Naugrim (*embarressed face*) but Revantusk is correct in stating that they were in fact to the west of Beleriand (in the mountians to the west, Ered Luin) so I suppose I could make an excuse for not adding them in. You could probably vote for Ossiriand or something if you wanted them, I guess.

Doriath, at least until the Dwarves went and fucked things up as usual :D

I used to think of myself as a Lord of the Rings nerd. I am pleased to say that I had no idea this had anything to do with LotR and can no longer count myself in that group.

You poor thing; go out and buy The Silmarillion, and if you can actually read the entire thing then you get a special medal from the Tolkien Society :D

Gasp! I would council you to read The Silmarillion. To quote the author of Watership Down, it is "greater and more pleasing than either the Hobbit or the Lord of the Rings!".

There aren't enough orcs in this poll.

Frakking elves. "oh look, we're bland generic ubermensch with no personality! We're perfect artists, warriors, poets and architects!"

I'll say Nargothrond.
