I've always seen that as around three to five thousand.

Yeah, there are a couple like that. I guess it depends how many of those are in spam or whatever rather than NSG. There are exceptions that fall under the 1000 rule as well; I don't consider Progressica really "new". I guess it depends.

There are many posters who've joined in the past year or so who beat the pants off of my postcount. But postcount doesn't define whether you're a noob or not. Really, it'll differ based on who you ask; I'd say anyone who wasn't around to witness the agony of the old servers is a noob, but that's just me being an elitist old fart.
