Pandora.
WHAT THE FUCK IS UP WITH THE NEW ADS?
They are so annoying and stupid and I'm tired of seeing hideous emo fallout boy kids staring at me with their vacant, retarded eyes.
Oh, why pandora, why did you have to get these giant ads? And ban people outside the US?
Who else agrees with me?

First I'd like to know what you're talking about. What ads?

I think it is even more terrible that they've apparently gotten your computer rigged up so that if you don't have the player up on your main screen constantly, your hard drive will explode.

I have no idea what that is. Sounds like I should be thankful. :p
Cannot think of a name

Gotta find some way to pay the new outrageous licensing fees.

The OP is talking, I think, about Pandora Radio (http://www.pandora.com/). It's a great site that is directly responsible for my introduction to, among other bands, Switchblade Symphony, Straylight Run and Pantera.
It is also free to use, provided you don't mind the ads and possibly lying about having a US zip code.

Yeah, it's just I hate how the RIAA causes stuff like that...

Bah, they're going out the long hard way, just like big oil companies. Hating them is like glaring at cancer patients who cut in line at amusement parks.
In other news, my analogies are becoming increasingly like things that don't make a lot of sense. God I need sleep.
Oh, the radio site. Here I thought it was going to be a comparison of someone releasing something horrible upon the world as Pandora did.
Silly me.

No no, it's just simply Pandora, not Pandora's Box, silly Utracia! ;)

Yes, I've learned my lesson. Should read more carefully. Besides, the site is hardly an evil set upon the world!

There's two such website that display such evil, look at your own risk!
Evil Site #1 (http://www.barney.com/usa/index.html)
Evil Site #2! (http://www.bbc.co.uk/cbeebies/teletubbies/)

Can someone explain to me why I just spent the past 5 minutes watching multi-colored midgets wander trace out shapes? Because I'm really hoping there is some fundamental truth about the human condition I'm supposed to have picked up on here but missed.

I thought it was going to be a thread about Pandora's box too.
On another note, some friends of mine named their daughter Pandora & didn't even think of the box connection.

In roughly sixteen years time, there will be much laughter when some snotty nosed teenager declares that he opened Pandora's box.

Indeed. The parents, however, were completely oblivious to this.

Tsk. Some people need their minds soaked in the gutter for little longer. :)
