I'll stay indoors for the day. Watching TV of course to see how many drunken riots the police have to put down.

I'll be volunteering at the hospital, studying for my chemistry midterm, and eating a bunch of frozen food. My neighbor will probably be having a celebration, so I'll be celebrating Cinco de Mayo by occasionally glancing at their party through my window.

Cinco de Mayo is about large beer brewing companies engineering an excuse for people to spend large amounts of money on their products in a small amount of time.
Basically, it's like Valentines Day, except for drunks and frat boys instead of girls. Needless to say, my bitterness and cynicism are in part motivated by the fact that I'm working tomorrow night as well.

so what you're saying basically is that Cinco De Mayo > Valentine's Day.

We don't celebrate it in Poland. We had a national Holiday on the 3rd though.

I can't really relate to the Cinco de Mayo, I can't really feel the same emotion everyone else does. As for the Super Bowl, I hate Football, and I don't drink.

Happy Cinco de Mayo everybody! I can't wait to get home, have some friends over, watch Oscar De La Hoya fight Floyd Mayweather and damage my brain with some Tequila.

Hell with that mexican noise...

It was DERBY DAY and the brain (and liver) poisoning was accomplished by means of JULEP

IN my case, said juleps (which numbed the pain of my gambling losses in the derby) were made with small-batch Black Maple Hill, which is some damned fine bourbon...

Also, I wore seersucker.

I have no luck with the horses, even on DERBY DAY, but I did wear seersucker pants and drink mint juleps all day,

Black Maple Hill small-batch juleps... them's some good juleps!

Julep = mint julep = drink of the Kentucky derby, of the civilized South. No mexicanism involved.
