The Vatican doesn't pray for the Jews and Americans to be killed nor does it beg for foreign aid from the Americans it wants dead. This guy is a douchebag and so is the Hamas government that made him speaker of parliament.

it's just rhetoric. it wouldn't matter if any hamas even particularly believed it, they have to say it to avoid losing face. let's face it, it's going to be at least 2-3 generations after some kind of 'complete' peace before the two sides at all trust each other. the only way it will happen is through business relations, and aid has to be resumed for that.

by stereotype, the US also believes "ZOMG TEH MOOSLEMS!!11!" If there's one thing that NSG has actually taught me, the truth is a wee bit more complex. hamas currently has much bigger problems than israel.

If there's on thing the world has taught me, it's that most Arab governments have institutionalized the instruction of hatred in their children, this statement by Hamas being one of the most common things they teach their children.

The sad thing is that the majority of both Israelis and Palestinians are willing to compromise on a two-state solution. :(
